I heard it was good album, so I checked it out. After hearing it, every song was so overly raw, loud, noisy, and abrasive. I do like noise rock just as much as the next person, but this was taken too much to the extreme that it is almost unlistenable. This really left my ears tortured. However, there are some redeeming qualities to this noisy mess. This album had so many elements of shoegaze and grunge that it ran (rather intensively) so that Radiohead, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana ... read more
Black Country, New Road's greatest masterpiece. The album is very artsy, emotional, and jazzy. I can't think of anything negative about it.
This album was not a disappointment. McKinley Dixon had created a perfect balance of rawness, aggression, grief, and abstractness. The jazz elements have very much enhanced the emotional impact of the album.
Favorite track: Run, Run, Run Pt. II
Natalia is onto something! I would say she is one of the best vocalists of this decade. She does not disappoint with any of her singing or songwriting!
And I thought Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven was their only good album. This album is so beautiful. It is so emotional, dynamic, and feels like an galactic concert hall.
This album sounds so...I can't think of any words to describe it. It feels so unearthly and earthly at the same time.
Favorite track: Storm
This album is so dreamy and ethereal to me. The vocals are so lush and shoegazey, the instruments are so otherworldly and psychedelic, and the record as a whole, amazing!
I love, love, LOVE this album! The jazz, the funk, the soul, the R&B! This is Sade's best album ever!
Favorite tracks: No Ordinary Love, Feel No Pain, Like a Tattoo, Kiss of Life
Least favorite: None!
Don't listen to the Rolling Stone, this album is amazing. It doesn't quite reach the greatness of Wish You Were Here or Dark Side of the Moon, but it is still a Pink Floyd and prog rock classic.
What was I even thinking in my last review? This album is awesome! Beyond just the dance numbers and happy lyrics are some artistic and savory instrumentals and elements. This might sound weird but this album tastes very sweet. Honestly, now I have a choice. I could listen to either this album or Kid A depending on my mood.
I can never go wrong with an MF DOOM and Madlib collab. This is the best underground hip hop album from the 2000s. I am so glad to see it getting retrospective fame today. RIP DOOM.

"INSIGHT, FORESIGHT, MORE SIGHT, THE CLOCK ON THE WALL READS A QUARTER PAST MIDNIGHT!"
One of the greatest instrumental hip hop and plunderphonics albums out there. This is by far DJ Shadow's greatest and most creative record.
Favorite tracks: Building Steam with a Grain of Salt, The Number Song, Stem / Long Stem, Midnight in a Perfect World
This album has the perfect levels of mystery and sensuality. This record gives me the feeling of being in London (or any UK city) in the late 1990s. Along with Portishead's Dummy, Mezzanine is one of the greatest trip hop albums ever.
Favorite tracks: Angel, Risingson, Teardrop, Inertia Creeps, Man Next Door, Black Milk, Mezzanine
Danny's inspiration of Joy Division is pretty evident in the songs (and lyrics) of this record. 2016 was very much a good year for music.
Favorite tracks: Tell Me What I Don't Know, Rolling Stone, Ain't It Funny
This album was so beautiful, cold, and terrifying all at once. I never thought that could be possible. Michael Gira is a musical genius.
Favorite tracks: Red Velvet Corridor, Helpless Child, Volcano, Animus
