Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited

After countless listening's to Dylan's catalog prior to the 90's, it's safe to say Highway 61 is my favorite of them all.

The first album where Dylan fully submerges himself into his electric guitar era, I can only imagine how bat shit crazy the boomers were going at the time.

Desolation Row, Highway 61, Tombstone Blues, Queen Jane, it's literally impossible to pick a favorite. This album has crazy replay value and is written so well to bat.

I know everyone loves Ozzy's vocals on the early Sabbath stuff- but damn, this has to be my favorite entry from them. Ozzy sounds ferocious, the band is playing with an incredible amount of energy, and this album never gets old.

Unfortunately, this could have easily been an EP with just the singles- love Cage, but this album really sticks to the recipe that has worked for them in the past but does nothing to reel me back in like their previous projects.

Honestly, I was expecting more of a evolutionary project in regards to their discography given the length of their hiatus- but this album does nothing to set itself apart from their other records.

I really REALLY love the production on this album.. Yet I feel like I am missing something big.. Not sure what it is..

I feel like the subject matter just becomes tiring as the album goes on- it starts hot but really, the momentum is killed because it just can't make its mind up of what it wants to be.

But I will say, this is easily the most digestible of her projects, and my favorite thus far.

This was a really cute album.

Dad starts a indie band vibes and I am here for it.

The lyrics are ridiculous and corny, but it plays extremely well into the atmosphere of the sound they are going for here.

I will definitely be checking out their other work!
