Enthralling listen. This feels like Twenty One Pilots have properly found their step artistically again and it's great. It feels a bit darker and grittier than a lot of their work but that arguably only makes it better. Fantastic writing and great vocals. Also congrats to Josh on his vocal debut
Somehow his best work yet, and that's with how good his other albums are. He's finally found peace, God and love, and I couldn't be happier for him.
Definitely not as good as the other records I've heard from them, and definitely could've benefitted from being a little longer, but still a very solid collection of tracks. Adrianne Lenker is a brilliant songwriter, that is always the case; the production is smooth and gentle, and the album overall just ends up feeling like something not quite of this world, which is probably what the intention was. It's all a little out of reach, but in an intriguing sort of way.
You know what? Hell yeah. I need some positivity in my life right now.
Sabrina Carpenter is a great vocalist. She has an amazing voice with a lot of range. Sabrina Carpenter is great at writing catchy hooks, and does so on this record. However, Sabrina Carpenter's lyrics upset me. But it's not for the reason you think.
I'm not bothered by the fact they're about sex. By all means, get yours, Sabrina, sing about whatever you want. If you enjoy sex, you're well within your right to talk about it. My issue is that she tries so hard being bold ... read more
One of the most stunningly produced, well-composed albums of the year. Every feature hits, the writing is very strong, and the vocals are airy and gentle in an incredibly charming way. Right up there among the best of 2025 for me.
Gonna transfer my thoughts from the first time this album appeared on AOTY when it was all singles and wasn't a real album: This is an amazing project, a lot of Hayley's best ever solo work. She continues to be an incredible vocalist and a very strong writer, and a very versatile performer.
Adding more thoughts since I've had some time with it: Love Me Different, True Believer and Mirtazapine are among her best ever tracks, Paramore or solo. The new song is great too and a ... read more
Incredibly smooth and flowing R&B project with wonderful vocals and silky production. Wasn't sure what to expect here, but was pleasantly surprised.
Beautiful record, stunning production, haunting instrumentals and vocals, fantastic writing. Gives me the feeling like I'm in a magic forest being sung to by the tree spirits.
I loved this. Renee's lyrics are so witty and unapologetic, she's super charismatic as a performer, her vocals are technically very good too. I love how she fits with these pop rock instrumentals, and I hope this is the direction she stays in from here on out, just fleshing things out and improving even further.
The most I've enjoyed a Yeat project by FAR so far. The beats are amazing, his flows are actually pretty good, and his voice is at its least grating. The first track and the last two, plus [ADL IS COMING], are definite highlights.
Really sweet and pleasant debut album. Discovered this on a random whim and happy that I did.
Some interesting concepts and ideas, some really cool production. Prefer the second half significantly. Wish it was longer.
I thought people were overreacting and I'd like this a lot more than the low user score, because that does tend to happen with me sometimes (see Wage War's last album). I stand corrected.
The instrumentals are okay on paper but the mixing and production messes them up quite a bit. I don't know what happened with Tim McIlrath's vocals but he sounds super weird, and the mixing once again messes the sound of his voice up even further. An unfortunate disaster undercut by some ... read more
Just realized I never logged this when I got to review it early. Nothing on this record blew me away, but I had a good time listening to it. It's theatrical without going too over the top, and has some fun musical ideas.
Feel like rating and reviewing one of my favorite songs of all time today. This song is perfect. Every tiny detail about this is flawless. RIP to Jeff Buckley, one of the best ever.
Three albums in one year is insane. It's even more insane that each one has been better than the last. This feels like Welles' most cohesive and whole project so far, with really focused lyricism, solid singing and really nice production on the simple, but touching instrumentals.
I have been meaning to listen to Deftones for so long, and their new album is finally a good entry point for me. This is brilliant. It's so eerie and haunting and biting and heavy. The production is absolutely perfect, the guitar tones are meaty and pack a real punch. Great introduction for me, now I'm gonna have to finally get to their classics soon.
Why did I think the number on his shirt was 22 not 77
It's nothing crazy as an album but the highlights are absolutely amazing, and I really like how the instrumentals are produced, and sombr has something to him vocally that sticks with me too. The writing is pretty general in a lot of places but a few things are phrased interestingly enough to be catchy. Great hooks too.
