"'Till death do us apart and it did." This hexology is literal proof of how good nujabes' producing abilities were. And you cannot ignore the rapping on the tracks as well.
Shing02 wrote the verse 1 of Luv(sic) Part 5 about a fan of his - Jeff Resurrection - who died from cancer and then wrote a verse 2 rumoured to be about Nujabes' death. It's one of the best ones in the album in terms of the lyrics, story, flow in it.
The quadruple entendre in the chorus of ... read more
From Me To You starts off incredibly well with the best track on this album 'Sisyphus'. Such a production heavy track with lyrical meaning and great delivery. Then followed by 'Candles On Fire!' which is just another production infused track that follows up Sisyphus very well.
However, there is a medium amount of interludes (3) and bad tracks that bloat the album. Most of the interludes barely add anything to the album apart from 'Swallowed The Key (Interlude)' ... read more
I want this to be known: this review changes quite often because I like this album a fair amount
When you start off an album with such great tracks like; the cake is a lie, dancinwithsomebawdy, bigassbearman. You really cannot get excited for what you are going to listen going into the project. But then the rest of it just becomes more and more average as you listen to it. The songs aren't bad but they aren't necessarily good either.
'the cake is a lie' is such a fun song ... read more
Normally I give detail in an album review but just listen to this album. Do I even need to explain?
I don't think I've ever thought Don Tolivers vocals were annoying until I heard FIELD TRIP. Like by the end of the song I was thanking god (something Kanye clearly hadn't been doing) that I didn't have to hear them vocals anymore.
Also do we need to talk about that monstrosity of a song called BOMB?
Seriously is there a point in listening to vultures 3 that will come out ... read more
I think when you start off with such a seriously good opener as 'sorry4dying' you just know straight what you are getting into.
I Didn't Mean To Haunt You is one of those albums where you just have to hear it. Words cannot describe the sounds you hear on this album additionally, how impressive this album is for someone that was considered a "YouTube rapper". This is proof that when someone actually knows how to produce an album it shows.
'tell me a joke' is ... read more

(The tracklist rating hasn't changed because I haven't come back to the album in a while, ignore them)
When you listen to this album with context, the only emotion you can have is awe into how well made and produced this is. This is my first samlrc album I've listened to and I only saw this for the high rating it is being given at first. But re-listening to this project over and over again it's really nothing else but astonishing at how low 83 ... read more
When i listen more and more to this album, I realise that there is just endless bangers in this album.
There's zero skips in this album but I'd definitely say some songs outweigh eachother in terms of how good the songs actually are.
Emotional slow tracks like 'I might say something stupid' and 'so I' really add the element of character to this already dance infused album.
The dance infused albums that make you feel like you're in a rave no matter where you ... read more
EDIT: 19/9/25 - R.I.P CELESTE ❤️
This EP is one of those ones where most of them were singles BUT ALL OF THE SINGLES WERE AMAZING.
I have a d4vd bias because I've seen all of these songs performed live. And they're just amazing.
Romantic Homicide and Here With Me being the clear standouts of the album due to the TikTok blow up. But Realistically the best songs lyric and impact wise are Backstreet Girl and The Bridge.
When I heard The Bridge on a twitch streamed d4vd concert I ... read more
Days Before Rodeo should have stayed on SoundCloud. Simple. The fact that there is 34 writers on this is crazy for how lyrically poor these tracks are.
It's one of those albums that get repetitive and boring after listening to the tracks. It's the same massively autotuned voice "rapping" whack lines and repeating the same words.
Quintania Pt.2 being the exact case here. If you can understand what is even being "sang" in this without the lyrics you deserve a ... read more
This song got me into Porter's music and became my top song in my spotify wrapped of 2022.
This song just encapsulates what I want to happen if i died.
"Don't look for me I'm just a story you've been told" is such a meaningful lyric.
It's sad that this song only came to light because of the LOL partnership, but the AMV for this song is pretty good, also porter loves league so it does make sense to why this song is affiliated
This song is the perfect closure to worlds and the perfect 10 year anniversary song. Literally sounds like a transition into the nurture sound. I don't think there is anything to add to this song to make it better. It's just that good. Amy Millan's delivery on the vocals and (i'd assume) Porters lyrics in this are just so calming and quite emotional. Perfect song
This album really is something compared to their other albums. This is by far my favourite Fontaines D.C. album.
The production and instrumentals are consistent throughout, and when the instruments outweigh the vocals it really shows how good they are. I'd say the instrumentals outweigh the vocals on most tracks apart from Favourite.
Favourite being a track about nostalgia (as shown in the music video) is so well written that it's admirable. "You were my favourite for a long ... read more
First of all, DUSTCUTTER is such a great opening to the album with an insane sample for the instrumental,
A LA CARTE with an insanely good brakence feature, as someone that listens to brakence a large amount it might be one of my favourite brakence songs out there.
I love the emotional-esque songs like EASIER, GUIDE DOG, and U TRIED THAT THING WHERE UR HUMAN.
U TRIED THAT THING WHERE UR HUMAN might be the best song off the project, the progression and climax to the song is really ... read more
A very enjoyable listen, the shoegaze genre could be on the come up again
Unlike what fantano said, I think the obnoxious loudness in the songs add more character to the songs and add onto the lyrics well
Favourite tracks: Evoke Me, Gold River, Painless
Least Favourite: Lights Off Repentance
This albums is my favourite album of all time and will definitely stay like that. This is my most personal review but I really want it to be personal to show how much this album means to me. TRIGGER WARNING: SUICIDE, DEATH
This album, like the album cover is literally like laying in a field of grass. This album encapsulates what nature looks and feels like, I listen to this on walks all the time and it's always to fitting

MY ALBUM OF THE YEAR!
With straight fun tracks like Knock Yourself Out and Kitsune Maison Freestyle adding an enjoyable mood to the depressing undertones of songs like Russian Roulette, Easier To Love You, Is There Really No Happiness?
The feature of Frost Children on the track Mona Lisa really is just one of the best Frost Children songs in their catalogue. With production value being insanely good and Porters and Angel Frosts vocals being on show.
With the emotional track ... read more
