Coldplay - Moon Music
59

Coldplay has transitioned to pop music officially now.
(Writing a full review later)

Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe!
97

I know there is an insane stereotype over Chappell Roan's music but quite frankly, it's just good music.

I feel like this song got massive and went completely under my radar. 743,982,769 streams on Spotify alone. I don't know how a track like this I never listened to.

I mean it's literally one of (if not) the best pop song(s) released this year.

The chorus is flawless and the verses are just well delivered to perfection. I would recommend this song to any average pop ... read more

NewJeans - Get Up
74

This EP is just a massive k-pop dance-fest and I'm there 2/3 of it. I would listen to more of this if it was longer.

Favourite Tracks: Super Shy, ETA
Least Favourite Track: ASAP, Get Up (the song isn't long enough)

Xiu Xiu - 13" Frank Beltrame Italian Stiletto with Bison Horn Grips
82

I went into this album with zero expectations. I haven't heard this band/artist once and I have zero context to it. I thought what an odd album title thinking it would be a fun sort of album. Coming out of it I still don't know what I listened to fully but it certainly was "fun" as I thought. Genuinely enjoyed the album though

This album certainly has it's high points. But quite honestly I have to listen to this album more than once to grasp the concept of it. ... read more

The Weeknd - Timeless
87

I mean god damn the production team on this really made one of the best rap beats heard this year. Pharrell, Mike Dean on production. They really knew what the assignment was for this song.

I can outright say that I don't like Carti's music. It's not for me. But when he actually decides to have lyrics that you can understand and are well done. How can I say no to listening to this. Apart from a questionable lyric where Carti is talking about hitting women when he had/has them ... read more

Tommy Richman - COYOTE
36

Just a simple case of another 2 hit wonder fumbling a limelight debut album and becoming lackluster with consistency, repetitive and carried by production. I'm only listening to this album and reviewing it once because I just don't want to listen to this album again.

I hate these adlibs in the background of 'WHITNEY' like what the hell is he screaming for?

'TEMPATIONS' is the first okay song that comes into play (if you listen in order), he gives off Tyler The ... read more

Bryant Barnes - I'd Rather Pretend
NR

One of the best songs released this year.

mgk - mainstream sellout
27

This album is 27 because it consistently has 0-13s but a decent sum of 40-60s. I just add the very few songs into my playlist from this. I don't know why this is rated lower than his other project because this is better than it.

'born with horns' is such a bipolar opener because there's so much different musically effects and instruments amalgamated into one to the point where you just have to sit there and acknowledge something is happening.

'god save me' is the ... read more

C418 - Minecraft - Volume Alpha
95

[Queue the Minecraft Tutorial]

The levels of nostalgia this soundtrack holds is insane. Yes, I am writing this review because of the nostalgia hit I want at immensely late times of night. But am I rating it highly because of the nostalgia alone? Mostly, but still no.

This soundtrack is sonically beautiful in so many ways. The songs like 'Cat' make you feel like you're back in a single player Minecraft world in 2015 with a jukebox and a tamed wolf sitting while Steve is on a oak ... read more

mgk - Tickets To My Downfall
11

The stereotypical clown on mgk is what ever rap fan that loves Eminem does. mgk's music isn't necessarily the worst thing in existence but it isn't good. He has decent tracks that I like and I can admit that. But if his songs were as good as he is as a father then I would be listening to phenomenal albums. Which isn't what I listened to.

Lyrically off the first track 'title track" you get just edgy emo inspired lyrics that must sound incredibly forced. "I use ... read more

Camila Cabello - C,XOXO (Magic City Edition)
24

I don't want to torture my ears with the full album again but all I know is that I originally gave it a 15.

'baby pink' sounds like she try straight up stole pinkpanthers production and added her own vocals over it. Eem Treplin definitely had the best feature on this album.

'GODSPEED' is an okay song, production is pretty good on it in terms that it's obvious it's trying to make me levitate. I think this instrumental should've gone to another artist ... read more

KSI - All Over The Place
29

Day 2 of listening to music I listened to in 2021. Safe to say this is the worst of what I listened to at that time. The amount of different genres that are on these songs you really do follow the album title. The genres are All Over The Place.

The opener: 'The Moment' is one of the most boring songs I've heard KSI release. Autotuned vocals on the chorus that make his song sound robotic. Below average rapping and poor lyricism.

'Number 2' features Future and 21 ... read more

Central Cee - Moi
30

Quite frankly, why is Central Cee on this song?

"No homo but I slept with bro" I want to know what yesmen around him saying that's a good line.

How do you have a french chorus from RAYE that sounds more french than actual french people trying to sing?

RAYE has a great part to the song that honestly she should've put into her own song and left Central Cee out.

RAYE - 90/100
Central Cee - 20/100 - he said words that just make a song unlistenable but kept a flow.

Queen - We Will Rock You (Megan Thee Stallion Version)
2

Can we ask the question of why artists are remixing and sampling old songs just for the sake of it? And for the songs to be absolute dumpster fires of songs.

"I don't let haters stop me" - she should've listened to them.

The sampling on this is abysmal. What the hell happened to:
1. Good Producers
2. Leaving classics alone.

She was flowing on the first verse but was definitely not doing anything. That second verse is horrible as well, what the hell was that. Why did she ... read more

I used to listen to this album alot when it released because I was a child that liked the popular music in 2021 like The Kid Laroi and Lil Nas X. Decided to re-listen to this album for the past week. Actually had bangers on it.

Even if you hate the music video of 'MONTERO' due to the devilish remarks you can't deny that it's a good song.

'DEAD RIGHT NOW' is one of the tracks where Lil Nas X raps pretty solidly having a pretty good flow and chorus. With a ... read more

C:/18hzr/breakcore - Suki da / 幻想を壊す / animecore, breakcore
NR

I feel like I have just found a hidden gem that no one will ever listen to.

Tommy Richman - THOUGHT YOU WERE THE ONE
35

He's sticking to the same formula of song for the 3rd time with heavy beats. But this time he has 4 different vocals he could show off and put them all into one mess of a song. He changes voice every 10-30 seconds in this track the most unappealing way possible. Shouldn't have released this one as a single and chose another. This is a song that cannot grow on me even if I listened to it over and over again.

Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk
95

93 -> 95

Imaginal Disk is one of the best Neo-psychadelia albums I think I've ever heard.

'She Looked Like Me!' performs a massive loop being an opener but dragging on the closer track 'The Ballad of Matt & Mica' when you listen to the album on repeat. Then it becomes its own song halfway through.

'Death & Romance' is just an insanely fun dance track that you can't go wrong listening to. It gives me Kylie Manogue vibes of a song if there was ... read more

Post Malone - F-1 Trillion
39

Post Malone tries something new with country music and it's a commercial success but far from a musical success. There is a large element of independence on this project ruined by features that make the songs worse. 15 features and 18 songs. A completely bloated project of features with the best songs being the solo songs.

'Have The Heart' is supposed to be a "fun" sounding track featuring Dolly Parton. But Dolly Parton just delivers the worst sounding vocals and ... read more

Porter Robinson - Russian Roulette
100

This isn't even his best song of all time but it's still one of the best songs I've heard from Porter. Really just emotional lyrics and just shows how good he is
