Hypochondriac was the first Hyperpop album that I properly listened to in full with no interactions in 2022. And it's an album I hold dearly to me as it helped me progress through listening to music and falling in love with it.
I'll start off with my massive positives that I have of this project. "Deepfake" is simply a song that is lyrically and audibly a mental breakdown put into art. I mean I cannot express my love for this song because I listened to it during the ... read more
eric made me cry at 7 in the fucking morning.
I wish lantern to a montague and WYA were on this though
Note to future self: stop crying while watching this show.
I genuinely think this show has impressed me in so many areas. I mean integrating music into a show like this where they're all their own music videos is so cool. I mean Riot really understood who the artists that are needed were. Because they assembled artists to create songs that I now listen to daily. Can I just make the note that I'm rating the songs in accordance to the actual series, because some of the songs have ... read more
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
Obviously it's hidden features so I am not going to spoil it (I'll edit it in a few days), but the artist that had 2 features ABSOLUTELY understood the assignment.
Put the Kendrick dickriders aside there are definitely misses on this album that are tracks that are just pretty uninteresting and have parts in them that are just uneasy to listen to. For example when Kendrick tries to sing, yes at some points he sounds great, but there are sections where he sings ... read more
Billie has mastered her vocals
Finneas has mastered his production
What a combo.
So opium is just below average rapping getting carried by production? To be honest I think this album got far too repetitive until after On That Time.
New Fear Unlocked: Carti fans
Side Effect Unlocked: Tinnitus
Favourite Songs: Not PLaying, Sky, Control
Least Favourite Songs: King Vamp, Punk Monk, No Sl33p, JumpOutTheHouse, Meh,
Note: I have a d4vd bias (I mean pfp shows it) so take my review with very little real value.
As someone that's listened to d4vd for more than 2 years and has seen his progression. A song with league of legends is massive, and I'm glad to see his progression. I personally don't think this is d4vd's best song in existence as he has far more unreleased and released that are better than this. But it's really good and I like riots production on the (intro) to the ... read more
It's a shame that this album was absolutely horrible but you can tell that since Odetari self-produced this all that he knows how to produce. But still this album is pretty undesirable. It's a shame that d4vd was taken off PURPLE HEART (you can find his feature on SoundCloud) but such a shame as that songs decent
I can appreciate the art but the music is not for me. Same as Tpab
Favourite Song: good kid
Least Favourite Song: Poetic Justice
EDIT: 25/7/25. I got into a relationship and it ended so... I take back my statements about Futura Free, Godspeed, White Ferrari
I think it's time for me to give a proper review and rating of one of the most overrated pieces of art in existence. Blonde is one of those albums that quite honestly I seriously don't understand how people like it so much to the point it goes to the top 5 spot on any major companies list on top albums of all time. I want it to be known that before anyone ... read more
An incredibly mixed bag. The lyricism is some of the most uninteresting and just odd things I've seen for a little while. I wasn't here for the lyricism, I was here for the overall vibe and performance. And it felt like this was lacking in all areas.
'I'll Like You' is a song that is literally the definition of what I imagine a genre name bubblegum-pop to sound like. It's a fun sounding song that I don't know the lyrics for because I don't know Korean. ... read more
Jean Dawson was a name that I saw come up in so many places online - podcasts and reviews - and then I didn't bother listening to this album until a week ago. And now I have finished his whole discography this album was that good. I decided to listen to this album while doing revision and school work thinking it was just the run-of-the-mill album and I instantly had to stop doing that after the first 2 tracks because they had already got me hooked.
There are so many genres that Jean ... read more
If I were to describe this album in two words it would be Horrifyingly edgy. I'm not trying to say this album is bad but I personally don't understand how this album got so highly rated especially remembering it was on Apples top 100 albums of all time. It's produced one of my favourite songs to play when I'm depressed - listen before I go - and has a few bangers on this. But I really don't like the quivery vocals in the album, they're unsettling in a not good ... read more

LISTEN TO THE CURE!!!! was written onto my secondary school leavers shirt and in all honesty I never actually bothered listening to The Cure fully, I listened to Wish during my hours of revision and schoolwork but I never gave myself time to just listen to them. And ... read more
Another installation of the brent series and it's a noticeably long tracklist. And I love that. However the conversion rate on memorable songs to me is pretty low, and I believe the album picks up more nearer the end of the tracklist.
As much as I don't like the joint vocals from Jeremy and Chelsea on tracks like 'ashes & rust' and 'A-frame' for example the long "whos" and "hows" sounds really off to me. But I really really like the way ... read more
