Way better than Short 'n Sweet imo
Production sounded great, her singing was good too
Best: Sugar Talking
Worst: House Tour (just because it is a literal house tour)
edit: btw I'm ignoring the lyrical aspects of the album, if I talk about that it's gonna be a lower rating, maybe like 40-50 range
Decent at best, not a pop fan so some tracks were straight up boring
I listened to this album as an effort to branch out to other genres but I think I should've started with another album
Best: Juno/Bed Chem
Worst: Slim Pickins (?) (I forgor the track name)
Extra mention song: Don't Smile (I feel this one wasn't talked about much)
Singing and rapping was unexpectedly great, for eg. Come To Life, Off The Grid, Jesus Lord, Jail, Heaven and Hell, Moon, Believe What I Say and more
But even with all these great songs, I still can't call this a great album purely because of the songs that I would consider unnecessary and drag out the album
Pt 2 tracks were so unnecessary too, they added almost 25 mins to the tracklist length ðŸ˜
if you cut some of the unnecessary songs to make it a 20 or 18 track album, it will be ... read more
That drum and vocal sample always managed to make me listen to this song in its entirety, great verses which I enjoy too
This song almost ties with Saint Pablo as my most favorite Kanye song, so much going on in the beat and verses are great
Easily my most favorite hip-hop song of all time, 2 insanely good verses from Kanye and Sampha with that beautiful final verse and the main chorus
tbh the original version sounded better to me, the censoring is just so clearly visible
I warn anyone if they ever think of listening to this outside
And idk why he had to fucking put such a good sounding beat for this but whatever
_♪ Oh when it all, yeah it all falls down ♪_
Great song, all great verses from Kanye, simple but great production
Decent song, I love the beat for some reason
idk why Bump J was performing like he didn't sleep for 12 days
I don't even want to talk about the generational trash verse Ye decided to give
On the positives, Ty Dolla $ign's performance is one of my favorite moments from the album
His singing is so good, and imo he had the best verse on this song
I don't know what to even say here ðŸ˜
This was an album for sure
Wouldn't recommend as a complete listen, but I would suggest some songs: 530, River, Take Off Your Dress (it's on the deluxe version) and Sky City
Edit: MY SOUL also hits hard, my favorite from the album rn
All the verses are good in that song
But the updated version's beat and verse arrangement isn't that good
Ye should've kept the original, and only change the mixing
Cool but too short for me. I turn it on and then I see it's on the last track ðŸ˜
Ghost Town and Violent Crimes are easily the best on this album
Love that heavy sound of the album; Blood On The Leaves, Hold My Liquor and New Slaves are peak
Great album, I just don't seem to enjoy a few songs as much as I enjoy others
