What an absolutely gorgeous experience.
I’ll get it out of the way this is wayyy better than the original version, it’s awesome to see the transition of the sound of this album, also this album I will say is near perfect, it’s super personal and open with the execution of the lyrics with the super busy instrumentation that makes such a one of a kind experience.
First thing I will say that I absolutely love about this album is the lyrics, like I said they are super personal ... read more
All I got to say is that he had so much potential with this album, it sounds like pure bliss from it’s incredibly impressive. Rest in peace Kai
BJORK DISCOGRAPHY #8
Bjork at this time of her career is one heck of a statement, her perfection for her craft and just the consistency of making out of this world experiences is simply just incredible, with this album she does that but with borrowing some ideas from her previous work but still manages to build from those ideas, like the break up theme of Vespertine and kinda the sound of Homogenic (I heard that at least).
The sound of this album is probably my favorite sounding from her ... read more
ALBUMS THAT CHANGED MY LIFE #2!!
This is an album I desperately need to review! (ALSO 200 REVIEWS!! ITS BEEN A AWESOME RIDE, THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR BEING SO COOL!!!)
I’ll get it out of the way that this album means a lot for me, I always really loved this album but once I really dug into why I love it so much the appreciation for the overall experience and how much impact it had in my life from now on it’s astonishing, another thing I will get out of the way this album is this ... read more
My experience with pop is confusing, while pop really is just fun and turning your brain off, it can be extremely frustrating sometimes where some songs or artists in general fall into stereotypes and numbing boredom, but the people who put their all into their music and really flip everyone’s expectations and make something that would be truly timeless I absolutely respect, and this album is everything I love with pop.
Charli XCX is my favorite Pop artist of all time, her embrace for ... read more
I’m incredibly addicted to this song for some reason, I really do think to its one of the weirdest and unique songs rocky has made it’s a trip.
I was super surprised on how this album sounds but I totally accept it with open arms.
Danny Brown is a legend first of all, he is one of the most unique and talented rappers I’ve ever heard, he has made some of the best rap music ever with Atrocity Exhibition, plus Ain’t It Funny is probably a top ten rap song ever, XXX just being it’s own uncomfortably blunt and dark project that I love, and with Quaranta it feels like a confrontation of the errors of Danny’s life and ... read more
BJÖRK DISCOGRAPHY #7
If Volta was the album where Björk experimented the most but didn’t hit as hard as her previous albums, Biophilia is the album where everything just kicks!
This album is one her most beautiful and lively with the instrumentation and Björk’s vocal’s being super unique with very weird instruments adding to the incredible grand soundscape of this album, another thing I love about this album is of how glitchy it can get, big example ... read more
I am now going to make a new series (AKA changed name to my “Re - Reviews” series but with a catch) that will simply be called!
ALBUMS THAT CHANGED MY LIFE #1
Blonde is a look into the humans souls, the test of what it means to really live your life, the healing of the flaws you make every day in life and expressing it in one of the most important and powerful experiences I’ve ever had in music, while it did take a few listens to really get the full scope of this album once ... read more
Ayo electronic Cocteau Twins??
This is my introduction to yuele’s and I’m stoked to hear what comes next after this fantastic experience, the abrasive and truly out of this world atmosphere of this album is incredibly breathtaking.
Every single texture and depth of yuele’s sweet voice is amazing and very raw but angelic and euphoric all at the same time just super impressive stuff overall.
While Softscars as an entire album isn’t really too unique for a shoegaze ... read more
BJÖRK DISCOGRAPHY #6
I feel like this album is Björk’s most intriguing album she has made, while might not be the most impressive or impactful album in her discography, i feel like it’s alright to take a break from her incredible 5 album run!
I will also say that this is Björk’s worst album which is impressive and a achievement in its own right, this album has a bunch of ideas with a twist of themes of politics and dystopia being a big part in this album, but ... read more
Literally the greatest trilogy ever
“Last guy who ran off on the pack got choked out by some Givenchy gloves
The last thing he ever saw was the price tag on them
Slowly faded into darkness and I let the archangels take 'im”
For Halloween even tho I don’t celebrate Halloween โ ๏ธ why not make a review on a classic from the GOATS!
I got introduced to clipping from my best friend who was into Hamilton of all things and saw that Daveed had his own group and he showed me Nothing Is Safe and my mind was blown, the song was so brutal and so hypnotic it became of my favorites of what my friend showed me so I decided to check out some of their albums which this album being the first one I’ve listened from ... read more
I AM BEING BLESSED FROM THIS MUSIC!
This album is my first Sampha album and it gave me more hope for the future of his career, he was already a goat from that Father Time feature but this just solidifies his GOAT STATUS.
And this album is heaven, the production, Sampha’s beautiful voice it’s just euphoric, his songwriting and vision is in another level, they can be super fun to super beautiful and are some high quality music!
I wouldn’t say there is a skip on this album, ... read more
BJORK DISCOGRAPHY #5
I feel like there will never be an album like this and encapsulating such a beautiful and unique sound.
This is probably one of, if not the most experimental album of Björk’s discography that actually works so well, so the sound of this album is pretty much only vocals, I feel like if this were to be an album from any other artist like MEGAN TRAINER OR SOMETHING then it would have been super uncomfortable in its sound and would flop horribly, but Björk ... read more
This album sounds like being dropped into the earth with blankets protecting you (the blankets are Jane’s vocals).
This was an out of this world, incredible, earth shattering and beautiful experience. The sound of this album feels like it’s own obscure and creative way of Shoegaze, the songs have the same structures and feel with very loud and abrasive drops that are really dreamy but every single song has its own identity and it’s own way with their ... read more
This is now my AOTY (sorry Scaring The Hoes)
I’m super happy that Kristin is feeling well and finding peace, she deserves that happiness after all she went through.
And this album feels like a spiritual and emotional healing in her life, this album in its presentation is very raw and I feel like it adds to the experience with everything feeling so harrowing and beautiful.
Kristin’s vocals are truly one of a kind, she’s one of the best truly and this just shows with her ... read more
Bro this made me so sad when I finished it โ ๏ธ
This album is relentless and musically devastating, the sound of every song have super weird and alien guitar playing that just add to the almost opera and rough lyrics and overall unsettling atmosphere.
Also the vocals are some of the best I’ve heard in noise rock period, they are super diverse and unique to the experience.
All of the songs are BRUTAL, with some songs that are as long as some swans songs which can be tiring for some ... read more
Im just gonna say that I’m super happy that Earl is feeling way better, bro has gone through so much stuff these years that it’s really nice that he’s feeling alright in this album.
And with that being said, this album is HEAT.
The sound of this album is very soulful and pretty simplistic but it’s not a bad thing, I feel like for how simple it is it gives a lot of air for Earl to just spit.
Earl in this album is just being as conscious as ever, while Earl isn’t ... read more
