Hasnt fully clicked with me yet, but this is the kind of thing that I absolutely love on repeated listens
As with almost everything else I've heard from Japanese Breakfast, I like what I hear, it just doesn't stand out as much as I would like.
This in an album that builds lot of tension, but doesn't pay it off in a satisfying way.
I ASKED EVERY GIRL I HAD EVER SLEPT WITH TO RATE MY PERFORMANCE AND THE RESULTS WERE HORRIFYING
The album was really nice when I was listening to it, but I just finished and I couldn't tell you how any of the songs went.
Surprisingly well-executed and wonderfully full. Might be too early to tell, but I feel like this album could really go places.
Despite it not quite being the instant classics that other Bowie records are, this is undoubtedly his most profound work overall.
This album sounds really similar to other squid albums. They kinda backloaded this one, so if you reach the last few songs, you'll be rewarded.
EDIT - This is hands down the worst squid album, as they aren't being very adventurous on this project, but the sound is appealing enough for me to let it slide.
