very refreshing after his last album which imo took itself way too seriously. this one seems like hes just having fun and trolling. the user score is crazy. the sporadic short songs makes it kinda messy but with a flow so quick it never gets boring. thought the metal influences were done way better than on his last and the electronic bits were fire. now i understand why diplo was glazing him in the ig comments.

completely lacks character and dynamics.
the music just kinda happens... with my only enjoyment being: hmmmm that was interesting.
my biggest issue with most "technical" music is the production being so flat and boring.
this music should feel like being tossed down the stairs when it actually feels like being poked in a polyrythmic fashion.

this album can be simultaneously relaxing and anxiety inducing depending on the amount of focus i give to it. the mix was initially a problem for me since boris are essentially buried under merzbows noise, but i now think its the best thing about this album. i really like the high level of indecipherable bullshit that occurs in this album. it sounds like you are watching boris perform live, in the catacombs, from a high speed washing machine full of electric eels.
