100th review!!!
I’m not sure why I got obsessed with this album before I had heard it. I listened to Tidal and thought it was good, and while it grew on me a bit, it gave me no reason to be so excited about this one. I kept on planning to listen to this album (it will be my 300th album!) then not doing so (325th! 350th! 375th! 400th!). i really don’t know why Anne Bonney isn’t considered one of their best songs
I can’t think of an album that changes its mood (or tone or whatever you want to call it) every track as well as Quebec does. For all the goofy moments, there’s a serious song both underneath and upcoming, ready to amaze or rip you apart. Quebec feels uniquely honest in how silly yet heartfelt it gets, essential to Ween as a band.
