First half outshines the 2nd pretty hard. 2nd half is still good but there's really only a handful of songs that you need to keep from there.
ts hard. mostly consistent and i really like this style of rapping. beats are insane on songs like 6ix times
the best production, rapping, and story-telling that ive ever heard from a lucki album, especially w how consistent this is.
the more hard hitting rap centric tracks definitely stand out a lot more on this record compared to the more melodic cuts. The first 4 tracks and the outro were really great but the middle portion of the album was for the most part solid asf, but not much else.
Drake improves on all fronts on this record in terms of singing, beat selection, and rapping. Unlike his previous albums this one aged a lot more gracefully. Although this record was overall really consistent it would have more replayability if they cut some of the less impressive tracks considering the run time.
Mixing and production has definitely stepped up from So Far Gone. Not a huge fan of the RnB centric tracks, but drake's rapping performance was pretty solid throughout, and the songs overall were actually pretty good especially in the last stage of the album.
Uninspired production for the most part. Drake really has been making the same type of heartbreak lyrics his whole career. Has aged a bit poorly. Overall, it wasn't bad but there are hardly any tracks worth going back to. And despite the fact that for the most part there weren't any particularly bad tracks, the length of the album makes it a bit rough to get through.
i agree that with the other dude that im glad dthang is experimenting but the song aint allat
