I know this just came out but this is still a certified hood classic! :3 >:D
[Full Review Coming soon... hopefully]
Came because of cyriak, stayed because of wierd al (and also cyriak and others)
RIP SOPHIE.
I listened to this album for the first time after the brat listen (great album and So I is one of my favorite from it.)
I guess this hasn't fully clicked with me. This album has some fantastic songs in it but also some of the other cuts from this aren't as enjoyable, mainly the more atmospheric tracks which i personally find a bit boring. I think the back end of this project (post-Infatuation, apart from Immaterial) is much more weaker than the start.

I felt it.
Butterfly is a beautiful closer and Across the Sea put me in a sticky situation about whether I should put it in my liked playlist or not (I ended up putting it in). Getchoo was like the worst song definitely. Pink Triangle and El Scorcho are really catchy. and if anyone is asking Why Bother?... Because it is a good album and there is No Other One album like this from the 90s. Now time to go back to The Good Life.
Knowing the backstory about this album definitely made me appreciate it much ... read more
I am crying because of how bad this is!!
Drake forgot how to make music in general after the beef.
Quite a short and fun EP from Denzel and Kenny. Definitely much more abstract in terms of both delivery and beats as compared to Denzel's previous work, especially DIET_ which is one of my favorite songs from this EP. But other than a few songs and the animated music videos accompanying them (which are sick, check em out if you haven't), they are somewhat forgettable.
Best: DIET_, Take_it_Back_v2, Pyro (leak 2019)
song is definitely better than the original and unlike others, I do not have any problem with the low pitch part. It even somewhat tickles my brain in a good way.
The ending is definitely like my least favorite part. Mainly, the non-low pitched hook delivery just doesn't do it for me and just makes me more glad about the low pitch hook.
TPAB slowly grew over me but now i can safely say that his may be one of my favorite Kendrick albums of all time.
[Update: Call me cliche but this deserves a 100]
"I remember you was conflicted" Wait wrong album.
I am a bit conflicted on MM... FOOD. On one hand it has some of DOOM's best songs like One Beer, Rapp Snitch Knishes and on the other hand all the story samples can get a bit annoying especially the SPECIAL RECIPES section of the album which are just 4 track long expositions. Atleast, the story is somewhat interesting.
"ALLEGEDLYYYYYYYY, THEY FIGURED OUT THAT I'M THE SECRET RECIPEEEEEEEEEE" you go lil yachty π£οΈ
Really enjoyable psych rock project by Lil Yachty. To be honest, I had never heard any of Yachty's previous music before this so this was my introduction to him and, from what I've heard, this album is a comeback for him after his rap style got really bland and stale. I'm glad that he is in a much better place musically. He has now returned back to rap and his rap songs are also great but I hope he'll return and polish this sound even more in a later album.
This album introduced me to Tom Macdonald and I've never been the same man since. Fuck this album!
Edit: And Fuck you too, Brad
This was an album which had to slowly grow on me rather than instantly clicking with me like the other albums of her which I've heard. But honestly, once it clicked with me this became my AOTY for 2023.
How did this click? I downloaded this in my phone on youtube and listened to this while waiting for the teacher to come in my tuition. Listening to this album in such a manner made me focus much more on the atmosphere and theme that this album creates. Especially Brother, Are you proud of me? ... read more
