The album cover makes him look like one of the zombies from the start room of Tranzit when they wake up.

Had to take a 30 minute breather after Black Pastures but I gotta say…

This was an excellent drone record, I was very immersed from start to finish and the texture of the music was very rich.

I just wish some of the disc transitions were better, but they were fine for what they were.

+20 because of the burger song.

I guess I was a piece of shit who couldn't handle it, according to KILL KARL.

Been lookin’ forward to listening to this and I’m very pleased with what I heard!

Reminds me a lot of Spiderland but this LP is a lot more reverberated and gothic-rock inspired. I also really enjoyed the lyrical content of this LP.

Gonna be listening to more of Unwound’s stuff in the future for sure.

Not my type of sound.

And, of course, obligatory “fuck you” to Morrissey.

It's like if Twin Fantasy was put in a microwave.

It's sad because I see a lot of potential, but it's just too noisy, and undercooked/overcooked for my personal tastes.

Lush galore, beautiful singing, beautiful instrumentals.

Please watch the movie if you haven't already.

I absolutely adore how raw this is. The utter SOUND of this project is piercing to the core.

Additionally, the album came out in 1983, hella innovative for its era and the no-wave scene. This album echoes the anti-commercial sentiment of the no-wave scene, while the instrumentation hooks hypnotically, parroting misanthropic, id-fueled statements into your ears while heavy bass-lines and brutal drums wail in your ear.

I understand why some may find the record repulsive or unpleasant, but for ... read more

High highs and low lows.

The highs make you feel like you can fly outside the universe on the sound waves.

The lows make you want to desperately skip to the next song out of boredom.

"@RandomBro, Thanks, you’re right on that. Kinda mixed up the genres and overstated disco and R&B in my review. I suppose it’s because my favorite tracks are the title and ending track, which lean more into R&B and old disco. I'll edit my review to account for this error, thank you!"
