Y’know I was recently reminded of this song’s existence and I just gotta say that out of any songs THIS one deserved the stupid ass parody version to be more popular because this is SH I I I I I I I T.
One of the greatest soundtracks for one of the greatest shows of all time.
I found this in a 2nd & Charles in a discount vinyl bin and I was going to pass up until I spotted fucking MICHAEL GIRA on the feature list. So I bought it, and honestly….. it sucked, like it wasn’t that good sadly, and Michaels input into this album is very minimal and his features are lackluster, the album itself is just not good honestly.
Ado is actually on fire right now and Vivarium is what I would consider her greatest song so far. It’s noisy, chaotic and absolutely gorgeous with Ado’s best instrumentals and beautiful vocals which just compliment it all the more. Hopefully the new Ado x Kikuo song coming out will reach these heights.
It kinda makes me a little sad because it’s so obvious that Ado is best when she’s in full control which we might not see often after this.
Well unless the rest of the album is literal music Nirvana (get it?) this album is already worse than But Here We Are.
EDIT: 70 - 50
Yeah, this grew off.
Very strong first half with songs like BODY THE PISTOL, VIDEO NASTY, SICK OF IT and HELLTARGET. Sadly I think the album falls off quite a bit after that since it does get kinda repetitive with songs that just sound worse in my opinion. It feels like Femtanyl used all of their energy in the beginning and burnt out in the end.
Although the ending of this album has some flaws the closer IS THIS IT is quite strong, I still don’t think it reaches the ... read more
Anything Kikuo touches is perfection, so in conclusion Kikuo please touch me.
But seriously this album is really damn good! I can actually hear Ado’s input on this album since you can tell she trained Phantom Siita from the beautiful vocals which sound reminiscent to hers. And then of course the production is just incredible, this is definitely worth checking out if you’re at all a fan of J-pop, Kikuo or Ado.
This is a really nice instrumental project I found from the Young God website. Overall the first two parts are by far the best in my opinion. Part 1 features a nice piano and part 2 has this warm beautiful feeling to it with an absolutely gorgeous acoustic guitar. Sadly the last two long pieces on this album which is part 7 and part 8 are somewhat disappointing.
Part 7 is quite good but part 8 felt grating and the drone wasn’t too pleasant to listen to.The violin featured in this album ... read more
I gave Ironmouse the benefit of the doubt and then I listened to this. I mean I think we can all agree music isn’t a career for everyone.
REST IN PEACE FRED SMITH
I decided it was finally time to check out Television since they’ve always interested me. With the recent passing of Fred Smith I’ve decided to finally check out their legendary work and I can safely say I’m not disappointed in the slightest. It’s kinda funny how punk of all genres was revolutionized in such a wonky, fun album.
Also I just gotta get it out of the way, Marquee Moon might just have the greatest guitar solo of all time. I mean ... read more
Charli Charli Charli…. To start off this is MY opinion so this review is reasonably very OPINIONATED. I got a lot of thoughts for this album and why it’s not exactly my favorite, to begin I can easily see why people love this album but I this one is NOT for me. First off this production is annoyyyyyyinggggg oh my god it’s horrible.
360 made me realize I was gonna have a horrible fucking experience because god damn it just sounds generic. I mean am I crazy because I feel ... read more
We had a good thing you stupid son of a bitch. We had Goofy Goober Rock, we had Ocean Man, we had everything we needed and it all ran like clockwork. You could’ve shut your mouth, make as many movies as you ever needed. It was perfect. But no, you had to blow it up. You and your pride and ego. You just had to be the man. If you’d done your job, know your place. We’d all be fine right now.
IAHAAAAAAGAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA OHHAUUGHHHHHHHOUUUGGHHHH EHHHAHHAAHHAAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHA I love being a vocaloid fan who has to deal with SLOP like this garbage from clout farmers who have ZERO real passion for anything to do with vocaloid.
Damn Cole this shit’s pretty good! There’s some great songs on this thing for sure and it’s pretty consistent all things considered. Not all melodies on this album are equal though because god damn some of these beats are boring. But there’s some incredible songs on this thing like Safety, Lonely at the Top and The Fall Off is Inevitable are my personal highlights.
The first disc is stronger than the second in my opinion. The last batch of songs honestly blend together ... read more
I decided to revisit this album recently and I still can’t get behind it. There’s some good songs on here but in my opinion there’s also Kendrick’s worst on here. This album just feels thrown together as a way of celebration which is fine but I just think it’s lazy in a lot of ways.
TV Off instantly was annoying to me from the beat switch in the song to everything else about it. Sonically it’s just dreadful. Kendrick still raps well on here but god damn ... read more
