Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There

Oof, I honestly didn’t enjoy this one nearly as much as I was expecting to. This album to me is just boring in a lot of ways and honestly as much as I want to I just can’t get behind these vocals. The only songs I liked from this one was Chaos Space Marine and Haldern.

Swans - Filth

FILTH! Well it definitely lives up to the name, this is in fact pure unbridled filth. And honestly I like it, it’s definitely not my favorite Swans album but I understand the love for this one by the No-Wave cultists.

Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind

Well fuck… I mean, I just don’t know what to say, I’m just very glad to be here with you tonight, I’ll be able to talk about some things… I know a great deal about… And that is this album is AMAZING.

Soundtracks For The Blind is extremely hard to digest partially due to the length of 2 hours and 21 minutes and well the fact that this music is fucked up. One of the things that makes this album so special in particular is that there’s only about 4 ... read more

Nine Inch Nails - TRON: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

It’s a soundtrack and a fairly good one at that, but it’s not going to warrant any relistens to be honest.

Swans - The Seer

Genuinely one of the greatest albums I’ve personally ever listened to. This album sounds so strange and weird and downright insane at parts but what else would you expect out of a Swans album with the full context of their discography?

But this album also manages to capture true beauty that you would expect from a band with the name of Swans with songs such as A Song For A Warrior and the ending to A Piece Of The Sky. But this album also offers the traditional Swans experience with ... read more

"How DARE you not enjoy Swans. You’re just not avant-garde enough, you don’t get the intricacies of strumming a guitar without changing chords and yodeling about some bullshit. It’s some real fucking crazy shit man, like the crescendos and shit. We should review NUKE Michael Gira with kindness and positivity instead."
On Vannily Iki's review of Heaven's Emperor - Teenage Poetry
"I agree with most of this, I wouldn’t have as much of a problem with this album if it wasn’t for the disgusting samples and especially the person who killed himself and was used on this album."

On Vannily Iki's review of Swans - The Glowing Man
"Gira’s song writing is actually one of my favorite things about Swans for me. While yes it can be very, very strange. It almost feels mythological to me at points, like a twisted fairytale in music form. And without his weird ass lyrics, I don’t think Swans would be anywhere close to the same. Although I do think his strongest lyricism was on Soundtracks For The Blind. Animus is a beautifully written song imo."
On HotelRestaurant's review of Kanye West - BULLY
"Yeah that’s kinda how I felt about this album, I think some people just loved this album so much because it looks better if you look at the previous few albums he’s made. It being slightly less bad than his most recent work doesn’t make it good."
