this could've easily been a 10 if it had better vocals
EDIT: (89->97) the vocals are growing on me
EDIT: its a 10
The opening track is SOOOO GOOD. It made me so excited for the rest of the album. Unfortunately, I found the rest of the tracks to be somewhat underwhelming
This album has grown on me so much. There is so much going on in each song, and I felt overwhelmed when I first listened to it. But, with each relisten, its gotten easier to digest and its just gotten better and better. It's just SUCH A FUN listen and I've had it on repeat for weeks. Its one of those albums that I will probably never get bored of with how exciting and entertaining each song is
I had a surreal experience listening to this album for the first time. One of the most beautiful albums that I have ever listened to. Literally, no album has ever made me as emotional as this one. I love Ryan Karazija vocals on this. His higher-toned voice really reminds me a lot of Thom Yorke. Hell, this whole album just feels like Radiohead but even sadder (and as a huge Radiohead fan, that's perfect).
Rest in peace, Ryan Karazija. Thank you for this amazing music
After listening to this album for the first time, I honestly didn't know what to think. I liked it, but I also felt overwhelmed. The whole album felt like a fever dream, similar to Lil Ugly Mane's volcanic bird enemy. However, after listening to other albums in Archy's discography, I don't find Man Alive! nearly as unnerving anymore. I'm now more accustomed to King Krule's sound and find myself becoming more appreciative of Man Alive! where Archy's distinct sound is the most refined.

I get so emotional whenever I listen to this album and I just feel like crying. Not because I find it particularly sad, but because I genuinely can't comprehend how a group of people can make music this good
When I first listened to this album, I didn't like it. I thought the beats and flow were weird and I wasn't a fan of Danny Brown's vocal delivery. But, wow it has grown on me so much. Now, everything that I disliked about this album is why I LOVE it so much. What Danny Brown can do with these samples is godlike. His voice is also just so unique and his lyrics are beyond tragic. This is one of those albums that just gets better with every listen.
"Forewarning" is easily a top 5 Vylet Pony song. Unfortunately, the brostep scattered across the rest of the album doesn't do much for me
i think this will grow on me after a few more listens
Edit: yep (90 --> 99)
I think if I listen to this album another 100 times, I will transcend reality
Vespertine is one of the first albums that I've ever listened to and it's the album that made me truly understand the power that music can have. Because of that, Vespertine will always hold a special place in my heart
