Eminem - The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)
70

A fun concept with decent execution. When compared to Em's output from the last decade or so, this album is certainly a step in the right direction. Aside from a few duds here and there, the lyricism overall is actually pretty good.

Of course Em's technical ability is still incredible, and it's backed up by some pretty solid production front to back, along with some great features spread across the track list.

This may be the most creative Eminem album since Relapse.

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
100

One of the most important albums of the 2010s, and of all time. A monumental project by Kendrick, with an incredible amount of depth and passion. This will be regarded as a masterpiece for many, many years to come - and rightfully so.

JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown - SCARING THE HOES
90

JPEG and Danny Brown are an impeccable duo who bring out the best in one another, as showcased in this project. The bars range from hard hitting to laugh-out-loud funny in the best way. Oh, and the best part: the production. The beats on this thing are absolutely nuts. It's been a pleasure following JPEG and watch him hone his craft over these past few years. No one is doing it quite like him.

Grateful Dead - Veneta, OR 8/27/72: The Complete Sunshine Daydream Concert
95

Great set list, great sound quality, and the band is firing on all cylinders. Excellent performances from pretty much every member, all playing off of one another amazingly. Some of the best improvisational jams I've ever had the pleasure to hear. If there was one concert I would go back in time to see in-person, it's this one.
