This record is absolutely beautiful. There may be times the vocals get lost in the backing track just a touch but I feel that ultimately compliments the dreamy, cathartic, and yearning nature of the album. This kinda sucks.
Bloated, uninspired, and just generally... ugh.
imo, the use of ai, no matter how small, is enough to write this album off as a wash and take it out of your queue. Unfortauntely, I DID like Die Lit so I was going to listen to this project despite my past disdain with WLR as well. All of this is ignoring the stuff outside of the music itself which at best, leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

CLIPPING. IS BACK, BABYYYYYY

2020's Visions of Bodies Being Burned has been in contention for my favourite album of all time over the past 5 years so I was worried going into this that I'd be let down or end up comparing it to Visions and not enjoy this record as much as I wanted to by proxy. Not bad by any means but the instrumentals do nothing for me on this record. With a voice as powerful and captivating as Whitney Houston, I want backing tracks that highlight and uplift her talent, skill, and her ability to convey emotion through the cadence and resonance of her vocals.
