andre 3000 finally returns with his long-awaited solo album, and its an instrumental album? for what its worth, "new blue sun" is a great shift from what andre 3000 is known for, the album sounds beautifully put together with amazing instrumentals and ambient sounds as well. one thing i do not understand is the hate for this album, this album may have its flaws here and there but again, at it's best it's an amazing shot at doing something different. after watching the gq interview ... read more

yet another album i hold dear close to my heart, while i wouldn't rate it a 10/10, it's very very close. i nearly cried to boredom and it made me a huge fan of tyler in general.
fav tracks: foreword, see you again, garden shed, boredom, 911/mr lonely, november, glitter, enjoy right now, today
least fav tracks: pothole (i still play it however)
same situation as my blonde review, this album heavily carried me through high school, i kind of doubted tyler before this album came out but thank god i was wrong, beautiful doesn't even begin to describe this.
fav tracks: all of them
least fav tracks: none

ok i like this more than "that! feels good!", im so glad i decided to listen to this because it was truly something special. very impressive music.
fav songs: spotlight, what's your pleasure?, ooh la la, soul control, step into my life, the kill, remember where you are
least fav songs: adore you (still a great track nonetheless)
honestly what was i expecting, i still think drake lost his spark after 2016 for me so was kinda hoping this would his return to form, i guess i was wrong to think that. also this album is bloated as always.
fav songs: virginia beach, first person shooter, 8 am in charlotte, IDGAF
least fav songs: gently, rich baby daddy, drew a picasso
AND THE CROWD WANTS TO GO DEAF 🗣️🔥. seriously wtf is this, did he not get the memo that no one wanted this??
fav tracks: nothing
least fav tracks: every single one of them, if i could give a negative score i would
that! sounded amazing! in all seriousness, this was a fun album and i regret not listening to it sooner.
fav tracks: that! feels good!, free yourself, pearls, begin again, freak me now, these lips
least fav tracks: shake the bottle, lightning
i feel like after views and what a time to be alive, most of drake's catalog just became stale and nothing interesting really boring shit here.

least fav tracks: everything else
this is straight up torture.
fav tracks: none
least fav tracks: all of them (getoutofmyheadgetoutofmyheadgetoutofmyheadgetoutofmyheadgetoutofmyhead)
i now understand why people love this album, why did it take me so long to finally listen to this? phenomenal.
fav tracks: smells like teen spirit, in bloom, come as you are, lithium, drain you, stay away, something in the way

after a couple more listens, i prefer this over astroworld (doesn't mean its bad though), kanye's influence is everywhere on here and you can tell, phenomenal album. still not better than rodeo however.
original review:
this album was a great listen worth the wait in my opinion, but with that being said, rodeo still stands his best album. lots of amazing features and instrumentals on this album.
favs: hyaena, thank god, my eyes, sirens, meltdown, fe!n, delresto (echoes), i know ?, ... read more
