Thundercat is back, with his classic jazzy production and spectacular vocals. The feature list here is a major highlight, I mean come on you'd think they'd start to run out of posthumous material from Mac eventually, right? But no and thank god not because it's so refreshing to hear his voice again. So yeah, very energetic.
Pretty good, but I honestly think I would've enjoyed it more if he did a bit less of the R&B and more Hip Hop.
On the Minstrel Show by Little Brother, unique chipmunk soul production style, combined with that classic early 2000s rapping melts together creating one of the most iconic Southern Hip Hop records of the 2000s
Nothing really shot out at me, but this album was still very good, despite the basic production. This man is an amazing story teller, read some of his lyrics if you don't know what I'm talking about.
also boldih james feature so 10/10 ig
this may suprise some of you, as I love lot's of foreign hip hop but I'm not actually a huge fan of French Hip Hop. However after listening to this album, I'm starting to think I might've been listening to the wrong side of French Hip Hop. This is amazing, the production, flow, features, hooks everything! I still don't think it lived up to one of the highest rated hip hop albums but still very good and consistent.
stickerbush yet again pushes the boundaries of modern music with his creative and unique style
The song kinda feels fake and idk really know how to explain it, also those few seconds where she rapped were horrendous bro.
dälek’s much needed comeback is distinguished by its ambient, agressive, and ethereal aura, which combines their old classic industrial hip hop style, with a newer more jazzy/boom bap-esque take.
what the fuck is this clanker-made, country slop, millenial burger restaurant, millésime k, tom macdonald, jelly roll (wait that ones actually true) ahh song
yung exu my GOAT
thank you for this blessing
to be completely honest, BLACK LAMEN has lead me to discover some of my favorite rappers, and with most of them being relatively new and releasing frequently, i get to literally watch them grow as an artist. and yung exu has definetely grew. this new griselda style production is amazing, in some instances better than actual griselda albums. i could see this being one of my favorite jazz rap albums this year.
woah
this guys basically a mix of carti, peggy, and slayr.
honestly he'll prolly be on the next slayr album.
this is one of the best rage albums i've heard in a while, and the genre mixing is amazing.
i really don’t see the hype. the production is generic and annoying, an his voice is shitty.
