An enchanting album to listen to, Peggy’s style really was so abstract when he went by Devon Hendryx.
never listened to Taiwanese hip hop before but this is very good. The production gives off that heavy jazz rap feel from the early 2000s that I love.
A very jazz heavy jazz rap album. This album hits like a crisp glass of pink lemonade in the evening.
Not actually a fan of this song, though I’m not one of those bum ass Esdeekid haters.
Wow. This is better than the Ghost-Pop Tape and it's not even close, man. Devon seems to have a more upbeat and engaging vibe on this album. Very catchy, and pleasing.
Honestly so amazing, I loved the abstract jazz production, and the rapping was amazing.
While jazz rap is one of my favorite hip hop subgenres, as an avid enjoyer of both rap and jazz, I always feel like that with most jazz rap, it’s never an even split. Most of the time the hip hop elements overpower the jazz elements. However it’s albums like these that truly feel like an even split. It’s literally just a guy rapping over abstract jazz. And I love it. Definitely a very underrated project.
How the hell is this only a 73. The production is amazing, and it's a collaboration between two of the most influential up and coming jazz rap artists away from the mainstream. Really amazing project. No skips.
Wow this has every genre imaginable. And when artists do this they usually tend to fail, but Gorillaz (and friends cuz this had like 40 features) did extremely well.
I don’t really get the hate on this album. It’s a bit inconsistent but goddamn it is so catchy.
In my opinion, not completely as good as the rest of the songs. It feels like a director’s cut, but every music nerd knows a directors cut of a good album is still amazing.
Very disappointing compared to their earlier works, but still not bad, just very slightly inconsistent at times
Never listened to a DJ Mix before -or at least not intentionally- but this was really good. Side note, though: what is it with this guy LDFD and animal noises. There was a fucking dolphin chirp or eagle caw every 3 minutes bruh.
Three years after his former album, Mista Thug Isolation, Lil Ugly Mane deviates from his former Gangsta/G-Funk style and goes experimental. While Oblivion Access doesn’t have the same replay value as Mista Thug Isolation, it is still an amazing, brain frying project.
shoutout Aaron Hampshire. Now I won't lie I did not have high hopes for this album, however despite being only 17 minutes, this album packs emotional lyricism, and outstanding production. The production seems to blend boom bap jazz rap production with chipmunk soul. I really hope we see more of this guy, he's got a lot of potential.
