This was great, the Turkish album really pierced through my headphones. It felt almost more like percussion rather than rapping at certain points. The production was very high quality jazz sampling as well.
Decided I wanted to listen to some old music today. Pretty standard blues, good storytelling; not something I would listen to on a regular basis but not too bad either.
Pretty average from the alchemist, a bit repetetive at points.
Pretty good, loved the production (most of the time). Baby Keem's lyrcism was bad but the flow made up for it. I'd say probably my main problem with this album is it's inconsistency. If he cut this down to a 9 track album it would've been AOTY
Well, while I do think some of the fat on this project could've been cut, it's still pretty good in most cases. Crazy hearing DOOM before he was non-chalant
Day #7 of Listening to The Highest Rated Album From Every Genre

king of pop baby
thriller really is the definition of an album solely comprised of hits, and by hits I mean both good, popular, iconic, and recognizable songs
mj very well might be the most influential artist of the 1980s
Top 10 lyricist of all time. Loved the mildly abstract 90s production too.
Daveed sighs, what a legend. Went from Hamilton to an abstract horrorcore hip hop album that ended with asmr of a piano burning in 4 years.
hardest song of 2026 as of February. first half of the song had that peak krit dirty southern production, and the second half was just hard as fuck. like i genuinely had a seizure hearing the beat switch for the first time on the bus.
Edit: 86 ->> 89
tf u mean surprisingly ts a banger album
Suprisingly good! Not usually a fan of these types of melodic indie vocals, but they were better than I expected. However the one thing that really made this album for me was the spectacular hip-hop/acid jazz production. Super melancholy and dark. Loved it.
holy shit. this is like a better, more cinematic version of Since I Left You. Thank god i discovered this thank to AOTY or I never would've found a second version of one of the greatest albums of all time.
This really was the godfather of all modern abstract hip hop. Feels like a combination of 2016 Danny Brown and 2009 MF DOOM.
Really nice uplifting project. The sampling and production from Exile was a major highlight but the storytelling and lyricism from Blu were great too.
been radio silence since gdlu and now he drops a collab with Toby the tiger. damn. Bob the builder lost a homie today. jid really ending his whole career.
so nice of mac miller to let Thundercat feature on his song!
