First time listening, the vibes are amazing on here and the production is so good. Commons flow and rapping is really good and fits very well with the instrumentals. There aren't really any flaws with this besides some songs feeling a little repetitive towards the end of them. GO! is my favorite song on first listen but might change the more I listen to the album.
I've loved this album since the first time I listened to it. Still great and my favorite Daniel Caesar album. The lyrics aren't really as good on here as they are on Son Of Spergy but I think the instrumentals make up for it. The vibes are best on here out of all of his albums in my opinion and has some of his best songs.
it's good but it feels like there is something missing from it. The lyrics are amazing and most of the instrumentals are good but there are times when the instrumentals are boring and some of the songs drag on for too long. The more I listen to it though the more I think I'll like it.
I like the production on most of this, and I've always liked his vocals, but I feel like some stuff he tries on here isn't that good. This mixtape got great vibes though and some good songs. BELOVED and DROP DEAD GORGEOUS are great. DROP DEAD GORGEOUS reminds me of pipe down by Tai Verdes but it's definitely better than pipe down. Can't wait for Beware the Giant Killers.
1. ROLE MODEL 65/100
2. PSYCHOSURF 70/100
3. BELOVED 82/100
4. DROP DEAD GORGEOUS 82/100

Some good songs but this album is consistently mid. Lyrics are freaky, but I don't really expect much from Ty. SMILE BODY PRETTY FACE would be so much better without that chorus and the YG feature. What was going through YGs mind when he made that one line. I like the Quavo feature, the Rocky feature, 2 Chainz does great and somehow Tyga does good. The beats are all basic, but they aren't bad. This is basically just good background music. Also, ON REPEAT gave me terrible flashbacks it ... read more
Instrumental is amazing and the chorus is really catchy. When the chorus comes around a second time, the background vocals are heavenly.
I kind of like these songs. The beats are nice, and the vocals are maybe not the best but unique (I'm starting to get used to the vocals). Although I like the beats it does still feel like they are missing something and the songs as a whole sound more like demos than full ideas. Still like them and hope he sticks with this style but does a little more. I think my favorite song at least at the moment, is Learning To Breathe.
Coordinate is so good. The beat is fire and the chorus catchy. I used to dislike this album but after relistening it's a lot better than I remember. It's fun and got some great production. There are some mid-bad songs though.
The first 4 tracks are strong then it takes a bit of a fall off and never really stays as consistent after that. Still a good album. Johnny P's Caddy got one of my favorite beats of all time and with how good J. Cole and Benny do it makes the song so much better. One of my favorite songs of all time. The production is great across all of the songs but some of the songs sound the same which has always been my problem with Griselda projects. The rapping was good, and the features were also ... read more
My favorite country album. It's peaceful and simple. His voice is great, the instruments sound nice, and it's a shorter album which is best for country music in my opinion.
Holy Ghost is my favorite intro song of all time. It sets up the album so well and everything is perfect about it. The first half is amazing and the second half is still great but not on the level of the first half. Some of my favorite songs of all time are on here, Holy Ghost, L$D, and Electric Body are some of my favorite songs of all time. The production and vibes are spectacular across the whole album and Rocky does well. The features are great also. Overall amazing album and one of my ... read more
these songs add a bit to the album but I'm not a fan of the second half of ok alright.
idk what I like more, this or utopia. Very close between the two in my opinion but this has easily some of his best songs. It starts off really strong and never really falls off. The features are really great and Travis does amazing as well.
Overhated. It's fun pop music. Most of the songs are basic but there are a decent number of good songs on here.
Very deep album. The lyrics are really well written across the whole album. My few problems are some of the features (mainly purple hearts) and some of the instrumentals. United in Grief is amazing but could've been better in my opinion if the beat was different.
Really great album. It stays consistent and the songs all fit into a theme while still all being unique. It does get slightly boring at points but there are not any bad or mid songs. I really love the production on here.
I've listened to this multiple times over the past 2-3 years, but it never has fully clicked with me until today. I'm glad I decided to listen to it again.
Already updating the next day but u is absolutely amazing and has grown on me in one day.
