Bad Wolves - Disobey
58

I like this one. It's got way more problems than any other album i consider one of my favorites. I think NATION is a much better album.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Skeleton Tree
50

Not really my kind of music, but the writing was good. I can respect it if nothing else. I don't see myself coming back to it, but I didn't dread my 2nd or 3rd listens.

Within Temptation - Resist
81

It's not a secret that I really like this one. It's just the kind of rock/metal I enjoy. Super catchy, easy to sing along to, and I can enjoy it both as background music and as the center of my attention.

TOOL - Fear Inoculum
37

This album makes me sad. I had such high hopes for it. I really enjoyed it on my first listen. On my second, I got so incredibly bored. Couldn't make myself to a third.

Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
48

Wasn't really into this album, but I've never been an Arctic Monkeys fan. Although I will say I liked these tracks more than the other ones I've heard.

Foxy Shazam - Foxy Shazam
74

I really enjoyed this one. I found the ending to be a bit weaker than the beginning, but that's fine. It's a fun experience.

Mastodon - Crack the Skye
63

This was better than I expected. Very interesting concept.

U2 - War
56

I have mixed feelings about this album. It was interesting. The singer's voice was pretty cool, even if not to my taste. The sound of the music in general wasn't really my thing either. I am a huge fan of the concept and lyrics, and there were very few times I felt the concept was being loosely held together. The content of a lot of the lyrics still holds up to current events, which is both a positive for the band and a negative for the world in general. Not an album I see myself coming back to ... read more

NOTHING MORE - The Few Not Fleeting
93

I don't have a whole lot to say about this one. I love Nothing More. It's not nearly as good as their newest 2 albums, but it's miles above their first 2. Jonny's voice is fantastic and he's an excellent producer.

Ghost - Prequelle
85

I really enjoy this one. It's easy to sit back and listen to casually while also being one of those albums that you can really dive into. Great for both moods. I really like Forge's voice, and the blend of heavy metal, pop rock, and disco to create a concept album revolving around the middle ages. The 2 instrumental tracks are amazing, and Helvetesfonster is a regular on my D&D soundtrack.

Radiohead - OK Computer
48

Wasn't really a fan of this one. I was warned that it would probably take several listens and some time before I warmed up to it. Maybe that will be the case. If so, I'll come back and update my rating sometime in the future. But as of right now, I didn't really enjoy it a whole lot. It definitely wasn't bad, but it didn't hold my attention.

Underoath - Define the Great Line
20

Really didn't like this one. Just not my thing really. I prefer metalcore with lighter vocals.

Oasis - Be Here Now
72

Before this week, I had heard one Oasis song and one cover of an Oasis song. I didn't expect to enjoy them that much. I was pretty wrong. This album surprised me. A downside is the length. I don't mind long albums, but I'm not as likely to casually listen to an album that's over an hour long unless it's one I REALLY enjoy. But I'm glad I listened to this and I'll checking out more Oasis in the future. It's catchy but not in an annoying way. The instruments were actually pretty cool, and the ... read more

cleopatrick - the boys
64

This was a decent EP. These two have a lot of potential, and I'll be keeping my eye on them for the future.

Muse - Simulation Theory
47

I liked it better on my third listen. Still not great. But there are a couple songs I liked enough to add them to my playlist. Not only was it too electronic-y for my taste, but I also don't think the EDM influences were well incorporated. I liked the vision they had, I just think it was poor execution. Not an album I see myself coming back to.

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes - End of Suffering
52

This was an okay album. I didn't enjoy it, but I understand why others would. For me, this is the perfect example of an average album. One I will never find myself coming back to, but also one that I wasn't miserable while I WAS listening to it.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - One Hot Minute
35

The later third of this album I found myself enjoying more than the rest. I stopped counting down the time until I was done with it. It was also at this point that I stopped paying attention to the lyrics and just let the album play in the background while I did some work. So maybe the ending wasn't actually that much better, but this album becomes seriously more boring when trying to understand the lyrics.

STARSET - DIVISIONS
89

Some albums (like OK, I'M SICK) are so good that they warrant a track by track breakdown for me. Then there are albums like this one that are so perfectly blended together and produced that a track-by-track breakdown would be doing it a disservice. I would say DIVISIONS (as with the rest of STARSET's albums) requires a full listen through. These tracks just don't hit the same way on their own.

Asking Alexandria - Asking Alexandria
72

I don't have a whole lot to say about this one. I enjoy it as a casual listen. It's got a lot of flaws but it's still my type of music.

Badflower - OK, I'M SICK
94

So I've listened to this album more times than I can remember. I'd guess about twenty. It's one of my go-to albums for when I need something comfortable and reliable. For when I'm in the music listening mood but don't want to take any risks with new music.

It's one of my favorite albums. I always enjoy it much more when I focus my entire attention on it. Having this one on in the background doesn't do it justice. Badflower has a lot to deliver on their next album if they hope to top this one.
