I like the writing here but the sound is a little too rough for me and the mix is weird.
The worst I've heard so far and some of the lyrics here, especially on 'Necropedophile' just made me sick. It takes a lot to make me flinch but man that's bad.

A really solid live album experience. They're a very creative band.
While this record can stagnate at points, it is more than made up for with the truly haunting story and amazing production.
I'm a big horror fan. So when I heard of a metal band singing about mutilation and other horrendous acts, I was intrigued. I'd also like to point out that outside of the band, these guys are the sweetest people ever. That being said, I'm not a fan of this at all. This record doesn't sound like Foo Fighters for better and for worse. At times, this is a really creative album that takes swings that work and other times is annoying or boring.
This record has some solid writing but is plagued by a lot of the guitars sounding the same with no variety. While that sound might be good, mixing things up from track to track is most effective. The singing is really good on this record.
