(Relisten). Clarence clarity shines in experimentation and songwriting to deliver a one of a kind pop album filled eccentric glitchy effects and non typical pop track progressions. No NOW remains one of the most creative pop albums I’ve listened to
Glad that they’ve finally been both released on streaming services given that moth is one of the greatest chill jams ever, simple yet immersive and enthralling.
I’m sure that I can speak for a lot of avid music listeners that when an album is released with a ton of hype, there is a little bit in us that expects disappointment, “it’s not as good as everyone is saying” “I don’t get the hype”. Well fortunately this album doesn’t suffer from the hype it has built up especially with their brilliant album “for the first time” released last year. Might I just say I haven’t seen a rock band ... read more
Familiar territory for aurora and her fans. “The gods we can touch” shows aurora and her consistency of delivering quality pop tracks with an artistic flair and while I don’t think it compares to the “different kind/step” series, it still remains a solid pop album I can see myself revisiting and enjoying.
Don’t even feel like doing a proper in depth review of this, it sounds like no effort was put into this project ,few decent songs and that’s about it.
A decent return from Vince after 2018s really fun and breezy FM!, not much on this record mesmerized me or left me impressed like vince other albums have(summertime and especially big fish theory). I do hope he hops on more experimental beats as he has done on his next work
A beautiful chamber pop album with ambient elements, Julia’s vocals and songwriting improve From her previous album to deliver one of the most peaceful sounding albums of last decade.
Favs: hello stranger, horns surrounding me, maxim’s I, he’s running through my eyes, this is a true heart
Least fav: city appearing
An emotionally charged album with varying dark subject matters( like most xiu xiu projects), “a promise” doesn’t have a sound/genre that it can be described as given that it’s influenced by different genres and eras but for the most part it shines in its experimentation. The only downsides I have are Jamie Stewart’s vocals on some tracks and some production choices.

Hopefully this is like green light, which was the lead single and also the worst track of the album, hopefully
Dirty projectors deliver some of the most creative indie rock/pop songs you will hear on any record of the same genre combining beautiful instrumentation with fresh melodies, it never loses its replay value with each listen.
Rock band black midi return with a new LP following their dazzling debut schlagenhiem( or however it’s spelt), an album that stamped its place in modern rock circuits due to its avant-garde sense of direction, unique style of songwriting and the absurd vocal styles of both geordie and matt(who doesn’t appear on this record due to mental health issues, wishing him the best). So this new album was bound to be announced with a lot of hype from fans and critics alike and it’s ... read more
New Zara larsson album and I’m just gonna be straightforward with this review, this is a painfully average pop record. There’s nothing memorable about this album, it’s almost like on every song Zara is gunning for a hit which kills the albums cohesion. The disappointing thing to me is that I really like her voice and was hoping that she would utilize to its fullest potential. Can’t see myself coming back to this
Fav tracks: love me land
Originally rated this an 86 but it just keeps getting better with every listen. The production is outstanding and kelela possesses some catchy songwriting abilities, frontline and Altadena may just be my favourite opener and closer of any rnb album I've heard yet. Crazy to think this was her debut album, really excited to hear what she does next
