Even tho it's objectively mid, this project has a special place in my heart since it was first LISTENABLE music I've made (3 years after I started producing btw...) this gave me huge spring vibes (missed opportunity to add chirping birds sfx)
even tho i'm not a fan of spanish i really enjoyed most of this album but as it kept going the songs were getting boring, my fav track was Last Maria On Earth, I absolutely loved the weird magical vibe this song was going for and I wish it was more present on the album
the way I had to listen to this through youtube screen recordings of garageband is hilarious 😭
But okay, besides some bad vocals i really see the vision!! It sounds super random but I like it, the horn with acoustic guitar on the first track was really really cool. the repetitive tag is diabolical 😭😭 but unfortunately i agree with it, I think that to make a whole d&b project you need to switch it up sometimes, because that drum style becomes really annoying after like 3 minutes, I liked the goofy synths and random sounds but that drums ruined the whole vibe
this song almost makes it up for all the issues I've had with wet sleeve's last album, the mix is really good, the vocals are decent enough and the whole thing is really enjoyable!
This album reminded me a little of Beholder's soundtrack and while I think some of the tracks create an amazing atmosphere, they sound like an early demos. My favorites were the 2 piano tracks. My biggest issue is "tornato" - it's absolutely too loud for the album atmosphere and sounds poorly mixed.
This is NOT negative spaces 2! NS felt very regular and mainstream for this type of music (not a bad thing) meanwhile this album suprises you all the time - experimental elements, unpredictable structures and harsh weird sounds borrowed from glitch pop make this project really unique. Public Domain sounds like Zig at it's peak with Flux influences, absolutely unexpected yet amazing intro.
