I feel bad giving it a yellow score but I wanted to be honest, I see what was the artist's vision and I appreciate it but I think cybershock needs to improve their music quality, the main reason It didn't really click with me was the lenght - I love when dark ambient music is super long like 10 minute songs or more but here every track sounded almost the same and got boring after 2 minutes. There's also a huge emptiness in these tracks - they lack a lot; some quiet drums, creepy ... read more
that was really interesting yet i have no idea what to say, I've never heard anything like that before and I really liked the way it's split into 4 parts that are so different from each other, with this kinda music it could easily be 20 minutes long, I see what this project was trying to be but I wish there was just more of it, I got left a little bit underwhelmed because all of it sounded really promising, it was still a great listen, good job!
i have 0 knowledge when it comes to dark ambient, drone or industrial music (outside of Ethel Cain's Perverts) so i have no idea what's done good or what's done bad, i can only give my subjective opinion
at first I wanna say that the little switchup in track 2 around 4 minute mark was needed, it went from super scary to ethereal real quick and kept that beautiful atmosphere while still being haunted, the whole track overall was amazing with it's smooth transitions and ... read more
imagine how lucky i was in 2025 for experiencing preacher's daughter, perverts and willoughby tucker for the first time ever
welcome back cigarettes after sex and the neighbourhood
i absolutely loved the psychedelic vibe from this song, it was giving CAS with a bit of Gorrilaz's vibe, I'd say the vocals could be mixed a little louder but I get why they are so quiet on the other hand
really really good stuff, keep going
my new single is out now! first release of my upcoming albun "Tales of Afterglow" releasing next month (https://www.albumoftheyear.org/album/1540260-mihal-lunar-tales-of-afterglow.php)
sorry for it taking me so long to listen 😭 that's absolutely something i didn't expect after seeing the cover, i thought it would be delicate, mellow and more ambient-esque record but turns out this is some epic breakcore shit, ngl this is impressive af, some tracks felt like i'm going to heaven, if i had to be picky i'd say there's too much harsh sounds for such an atmospheric record, it creates a great contrast but for me personally i'd prefer if it went in ... read more
The album jumps in hard as hell with “Love Crimes” blasting that EDM beat right into your skull before you even settle in. “Slushy” slides in right after and just pulls you under with its calm mood and strange drums, and the way it melts into the next track is straight-up wild. “Wild and Alone” left me confused because I barely caught any of PinkPantheress’ vocals, maybe she’s hiding in the background somewhere. Then “HARD” hits and ... read more
idk how to explain it but it sounds like the most expensive metal music you'll ever hear (negative spaces premium) and easily her peak when it comes to this genre
Thanks for the rec ECEL! I was kinda hoping the drop would hit harder If I'm being honest. If it went full EDM with stronger bass and synths, it would sound amazing. Honestly, it’s my least favorite out of the last three singles (doesn't mean it's bad!) it feels like a bit of missed potential for me. Still, the lead is really nice, and the track gives me Adam Lambert vibes.
as a huge mothica fan, I'm really excited but also worried for the new era, Nocturnal and Kissing Death were both 10/10 for their uniqueness and versatility, meanwhile this song is actually great I fear she's gonna go basic nu metal and lose her creativity
best video game soundtrack ever and so beautifully nostalgic, Take This is the best instrumental track ever
