Throughout the peaks and valleys, some noteworthy, others somewhat fleeting, This Consequence is a record that conveys a way back to their roots, resilience, and perseverance, reminding us that one can overcome adversity and emerge stronger if we keep fighting for something better.
This Consequence demands to be heard and Killswitch Engage shall atone no more.
Killswitch Engage are impressively angry and anthemic – but inconsistent – on ninth album This Consequence.
Flaws aside, This Consequence marks a solid, if unremarkable addition to the Killswitch Engage catalog.
Honestly, I don't have much to say about this one. I mean it's what Killswitch have been doing for so many years, except there's maybe a slight twist with slightly more modern production, but generally it's rinse and repeat the same blend of Melodic Metalcore. And it's decent.

Favorite song is "Discordant Nation"
Least favorite song is "The Fall of Us"
Was a huge fan of this band in the early days with Howard Jones on vocals.. Haven't listened to much since Jessie Leach returned.. but this new album is fire.
