The greatest bands stay great. "This Consequence" is a triumph.

While itโ€™s not about to reinvent the wheel, and might stand in the shadow of yesteryearโ€™s Headbangers Ball staples, this is a fantastic encapsulation of what made this wave of metalcore so special.

Spill Magazine

Throughout the peaks and valleys, some noteworthy, others somewhat fleeting, This Consequence is a record that conveys a way back to their roots, resilience, and perseverance, reminding us that one can overcome adversity and emerge stronger if we keep fighting for something better.

Distorted Sound

This Consequence demands to be heard and Killswitch Engage shall atone no more.

AllMusic
Produced once again by the band's Adam Dutkiewicz and teased by the powerhouse singles "Forever Aligned" and "I Believe," the album delivers another potent dose of their trademark sound mixing brutal, chugging riffs with soaring, melodic choruses.

Kerrang!

Killswitch Engage are impressively angry and anthemic – but inconsistent – on ninth album This Consequence.

Angry Metal Guy

Flaws aside, This Consequence marks a solid, if unremarkable addition to the Killswitch Engage catalog.

ALBUMS LIKE THIS INVITE AN INTERESTING REFLECTION

This album risks losing perspective on how today it can be considered a "masterpiece", an album worth 100.
Let me explain:
this album is played very well, it's fun and powerful (it rhymes in Italian!), it's even better produced and the lyrics aren't bad either. Everything is done to ... read more

PD: AW HELL YEAH, WE ARE SO BACK!!!

WE'RE BACK, EVERYONE!!!

Charlie & PD: WOOOOOOOO!!!

I've been excited about this new album. Killswitch Engage has always been a fantastic metalcore band for a long time, ever since they've been a thing back in the 2000s. This band has been a big inspiration for everybody in that scene, and their music is genuinely amazing. This is the same band that made bangers like My Curse, The End ... read more

Was a huge fan of this band in the early days with Howard Jones on vocals.. Haven't listened to much since Jessie Leach returned.. but this new album is fire.
