Unfortunately on returning to this, I don't like it anywhere near as much as I used to. Not a bad album by any means and a great step up after the last 3, but still suffers from being overlong and sounding kinda uninspired

This sound doesn't suit Rush whatsoever. It seems to be a common thing that bands completely leave the style behind that got the famous in the first place. Though this can result in good albums too, in this instance that is not the case.
