"IT'S BLACK COUNTRY OUT THERE..."

Black Country, New Road is an experimental rock septet formed a few years back mixing all sorts of different elements in their sound- post-punk, post-rock, jazz, and even klezmer, among others. Because of this and the success and intrigue around tracks and singles like "Science Fair" and "Sunglasses", the band got notoriety even before their debut was even being worked on. I only learned about "For the First Time" a few ... read more

This new Foo Fighters album: it's just okay.

Foo Fighters are a alternative rock band that was formed by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl after Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain tragically took his own life. What originally started out as a solo project for Mr. Grohl to distract himself from his emotions regarding Kurt's death turned into a full-on new band with new members starting with The Color and the Shape, and eventually becoming one of the biggest alternative rock bands in the new millennium. ... read more

So much missed potential here: what could've been an interesting journey through tracks inspired by different cities and regions turns into just the same alternative rock the Foo Fighters have been doing for years.

Now fronting a band of his own, Dave Grohl and the newly defined Foo Fighters create an album of post-grunge hits that are equal parts fun and memorable.

The Foo Fighters' debut (which is essentially just a Dave Grohl solo project at this point) is a fierce collection of post-grunge hits, all very impressively produced and performed by Dave Grohl himself.

The first list served as kind of a trial and learning process for me, I didn't reach out to every single person I used scores from for reviews because I wanted to see if the idea would even catch on or if people would be interested. Will try to reach out to everyone for the next one!

Hey I just wanted to let you know that my list aggregating AOTY's favorite albums of the year 1970 is finally live, and that you are included in it!

This was a very big project that would not have been able to be completed without your ratings and I hope to continue this series with future installments!

If you would be so kind as to check the list out and even possibly give me any feedback at all it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

What is your favorite album of the year 1970, and could I get a few words on your thoughts on that album!?

{I’m going to be doing a series of lists where I go through AOTYs favorite albums of every year since 1970 and this is the first part of that ultimate goal!!}

@JakerpGuy - Thanks for the follow. I certainly dig your interest in Progressive Rock. Your scoring is spot on too. I've decided to give you a follow! Cheers, bruh. - @daFigz™

Hi there! I accidentally deleted my Fetch the Bolt Cutters review (instead of 'editing' it) and I'm quite pleased with it, would you mind giving it another look? I don't expect a like, just a read my friend!
