I loathed this record when I first heard it, considering it utterly devoid of the intricacies that make Phish 1.0 so irresistible to revisit.
Fact is, it’s a grower; a bit of fun with some fab soloing ‘taboot (taboot)’. By no means their strongest, but a nice, harmless little record and bolstered by an opening duo of great pop songs.

This was a pretty fun one, and I enjoyed the energy on this album quite a bit. There were very few moments that I felt uninterested and I do think that the quality was relatively consistent for the entire listen. My major complaint with this album is that some of the songs dragged on longer than they needed to, leading to some moments of repetition that hinders the sound as a whole. The highlights are Backwards Down the Number Line, Kill Devil Falls, and Twenty Years Later
