this was good but i guess i was expecting it to be heavier. i love a good amount of weird and esoteric metal like this but nothingface didnt really do it for me. i didnt like the vocals. bass was phenomenal. part of the reason i listened to this is because roger patterson from atheist was a voivod fan, rip

Nothingface could be the best Voivod album so far, and that's saying something considering how steep the competition is. This release definitely has a different vibe to what they had done previously in my opinion, this feels more like prog album than a thrash one, although there is still plenty of thrash influence. Thankfully I'm a huge fan of prog metal so it's no surprise that I absolutely loved my time listening to this project.
