Man these chaps are CARTOONISHLY British.
There was a brief stretch of tracks that I really enjoyed, but a lot of this album didn't do it for me.
Recs:
- Babies
- She's a Lady
- Happy Endings
The moment Pulp made a cosmically-incredible creative leap towards the band we all know them to be today. This record starts what is imo the best Britpop album run in history, with Cocker's vocals and the band's instrumentation working in such beautiful harmony for the vast majority of these tracks
Best Track: Do You Remember The First Time?
Worst: Someone Like The Moon
Personal Best: Do You Remember The First Time?, Babies, Pink Glove
1: Joy Riders - 7/10
2: Lip Gloss - 7/10

A lot more synth-heavy than "Different Class" but still very nice! I especially like the atmosphere on "She's A Lady" and the instrumentals on the last track.
