Happy pride :)

This is the most recent Slothrust project as of now, and it’s another album that I find to be in the same vein as their previous. It’s overall a bit inconsistent but still good and has some great highlights. The Next Curse surprised me with Lzzy Hale on it, like damn. Her voice is super powerful, and it adds a lot to the song. It’s hard to be a band like Slothrust in the 2020s. Too quirky for active rock radio, too clean for the lo-fi blog rock kids, and too sincere to fully land among irony-caked indie playlists.
