Like David Byrne's underrated orchestral epic The Forest or Philip Glass' Koyaanisqatsi, Systems/Layers is cerebral and human, transporting you without insulting your intelligence.
This album feels like: you go to a theatre, sit on the stalls and watch the performance. You leave the stalls, and riding the car you feel that the horizont seems to take the shape of the opera itself
A Wonderful ambient and modern classical record.
An engaging and quant record that doesn't try to make itself too sparse or overly fancy. It's quiet moments, it's string sections and muffled sampled vocals play like an old vintage film from a time period we'll never live.
