All told, these nihilistic nuggets foment an oppressive, claustrophobic, soul-sapping listening experience, which, like the best black metal, speaks to one's most masochistic instincts while somehow encouraging the purest form of emotional and aggressive catharsis. In sum, a new black mass for all the evil boys and girls to enjoy.

One of those black metal projects so primally fucked and ruthlessly inaccessible, it'll be hated garbage-can noise to most of the world, and a new religion to a select few.

Good though somewhat inconsistent black metal release from supergroup Twilight.

I liked the coldness of some of the songs on here and the raw production that creates dark atmospheres but the final result is not that cohesive and it's sometimes repetitive and uninteresting

I don't think there's as much contradiction going on between creative visions in this super-project like others have pointed out as each artists influence, in my opinion, emphasizes different styles on the same atmosphere or tone of the album. It's really a consistent vision, ultimately. These influences do have their more uninteresting movements on the album but they don't ever become monotonous with their peaks being much more common than any dips.

This album ends on its strongest song, and it was honestly pretty good.
