Ratking offer innovative production, rebellion, eclecticism, a rejection of cliché and generally a call for thinking outside the box.
There's nothing at the core of the EP that illuminates the inspirations of Wiki and fellow MC Hak.
Classic RATKING. White noise rap that chops and changes at every corner reminiscing over the city which is New York. Remember when you speak on wiki.... "Every time I rock simple, sling shot's to cops' temple"
Wiki experiments a lot on his debut, and there's a lot of cool ideas that appeal to me. The verse spit from the other side of a phone reminds me of the LUM verse on that SupaSortaHuman x Shawn Kemp project— seems they were always destined to meet— and does very well for itself. Wiki's influences are clear, and he does a hell of a job injecting some of that classic hip-hop into his verses.
Though, to be clear, his Puerto Rican ass should NOT be saying the n-word 💀
