By the time Prydz is ready to release his sophomore album sometime around 2026, new fans with no memory of this massive moment in progressive house’s history will be grateful to have a text this authoritative to refer back to.
Corniness—the willingness to let go, to be not cool, to escape judgement—is deeply woven into the fabric of EDM. And it’s to Prydz’s credit that he makes even these moments of excess sound far classier than any of his peers.
Make it like an hour shorter, and it’s one of the best Prog House albums ever, period. •_•
Yes this thing shouldn’t be 2 hours long but that doesn’t take away from the fact that there are actually tons of really good tracks on this album and obviously the title track. Opus by Eric Prydz is a good Progressive House album that does have some pretty great material on here.
