Cyrus has always sounded older than her years, and as she leaves her teens, that's a good thing -- especially since The Time of Our Lives shows her music is catching up to her pipes.
She is wholesome, that much is undeniable, but she has her name on plenty of inventive, imaginative and precisely calibrated examples of modern chart pop, songs that would have been noticed beyond her audience of young girls had they come from a more credible source.

One more 2000s record carried by a Dr. Luke track
Miley is a very good singer but unfortunately, that solely was never enough to make a great record
This EP is just made of very very generic 2000s teen pop-rock songs that don't have nothing to add to the record but Miley's good singing
Overall, this record is mid
I had the time of my life... for the most part with Miley's first ever EP.
Even though it is a country pop/pop rock play,

90/100
favs: first 4
Similar to the Hannah Montana soundtracks at this time, the quality of her music took a significant jump. This a short and sweet EP. The writing is good, the production is interesting and relatively consistent, and her voice is starting to mature and strengthen. It’s enjoyable and fun, and doesn’t have any of the slow, simple songs we saw before. My favorites are Party In the U.S.A. and When I Look At You.
