This has got to be Ayreon’s best record since The Human Equation. Its length was cut down a bit from the last two albums, now under an hour and 30 minutes, which makes it a much more doable listen. The more modern production has done wonders for the general sound of the record, removing a layer of cheese that often inhabits Ayreon’s music. Maybe not the greatest story told, but it flows amazingly in a sonic way and it's probably the greatest cast of Ayreon singers yet.
