Since listening to Genesis' Selling England by the Pound, I've always found Peter Gabriel to be the main driving point of the group compared to Phil Collins (not denying Collins' talent by the way), due to Gabriel's willingness (in regards to his solo career too) to deliver music that makes the listener have patience to be able to fully embrace the music throughout its runtime.

A fantastic artsy pop rock album by Peter Gabriel and even though it is really 80's pop rock it is done masterfully for a heart felt and warm release filled with a soothing lush almost ambient soundscape and some powerful lyrics, So is a well rounded album with great tracks and Kate Bush kills it.

Good old "So", the most commercial album Peter Gabriel has done in his career, huge success and huge singles from this project, even a #1 in USA.

I always loved this album, because it's a blend of pop rock and art pop, it has great poppy tunes but at the same time artsy tunes as well. The production is as expected by a Peter Gabriel album very high quality and the musicianship is amazing, Gabriel's band had some of the most talented musicians of the time and you ... read more

The production on this album is great and I could see it being played in many clubs when it first released. Especially songs like sledgehammer and in your eyes. However while they might be great to dance to a lot of the songs have rather poor writing. Cuts like don't give up feel like they are trying way too hard to be ... read more
