A little improvement on their last album, but the vocals are still annoying and the beats are generic.
Grouplove’s sophomore effort is more versatile and consistent than their previous project but occasionally boring and skippable. There’s more of an electronic influence on a lot of tracks here that really help boost the vibrance and versatility of the tracks. The writing seems better and the performances are nice as well. The main issue is just how forgettable it is as a project. It’s overall an improvement yet rather flat within its consistency.
