Wannabe Eminem ass, I don’t think why this mf would TRY to imitate Encore Em. Like the underwear line is just vile. Ear bleeding production and under the idea that “if I flow fast it must be good”. Genuinely one of the worst and most insufferable songs I’ve heard in my life.
Can’t pretend some of this shit don’t slap
It is crazy to me, that in a random indie video game soundtrack from 2015, you can find multiple Top 100 songs ever made.
Sometimes I truly wonder what the reception would be to this if it wasn’t from Minecraft
Im sorry my brothers, but I can explain. I went into this album with high hopes, hearing it was “Drakes best” and “introspective” and a “masterpiece”. Unfortunately, I was (for the most part) let down(?). I don’t really know what to think about this. A very mixed bag, it has phenomenal songs like HYFR and Marvin’s Room, and godawful shit like Cameras or Make me Proud. Honestly, this album was completely saved by the features, and Drake lowkey ... read more
I feel terrible for giving this such a low score (😭) but it mostly chalks up to me not particularly enjoying rage, and that this is a pretty generic rage project. All the tracks blend together, and while there are some good moments, I just don’t really like rage. All the respect to her for making this so young however, and she definitely has potential for making something truly great. I bet if I liked rage more, I would give this a more positive score.
Note: I really enjoy Aishite, ... read more
This is the band's best song, dare I say by a large portion. This, for me, is the biggest competitor for Runaway's title as the best song ever made. The best intro in music.
What a nice song. The hook is really good, and while the song as a whole is a little bland, the intro and outro slap. First No 1. song in a while I actually enjoy. Give this a listen.
I have a very weird relationship with this album. On paper, this is potentially the best rap album ever, and that's rightfully a popular opinion. But in my quite frankly twisted mind, I find it difficult to give it the perfect score. This is the album that makes me wish I never decided to find out what other people thought about music. Maybe you would find this to be strange, but when I listen to artists or albums, the people who have associated themselves with it are eternally attached to ... read more
What a phenomenal album this is. As I expect it was with many people, this was the very first Kanye album I ever listened to, but it didn't really click with me immediately. However, when it did, it instantly became one of my favorite rap albums of all time. The legendary chipmunk-soul sampling Kanye is now famous for really shines on this record, and it results in banger after banger. While I do not think this album is perfect, or Kanye's best, I think it is easily one of the best ... read more
Never has an album made me so, so sad and then so happy in a runtime under 30 minutes. Usually I like writing long reviews for my albums, but not for this one.
I havent heard this song but entertainment weekly needs to be brought to justice
Goddamn. What an experience this was. As a certified Kanye stan, I obviously came to this record because of West sampling the intro track to this album, 21st Century Schizoid Man, on his song POWER. But I left with so, so much more.
While this seems to be a common sentiment, it's just hard to believe this was made in fucking 1969. Like this shit may just beat out landing on the moon man. First of all, this album sounds like mania, nostalgia, and glamour all in under an hour. The sound ... read more
