DEAN's first EP, 130 Mood: TRBL, is a beautifully composed love letter to Korean R&B. DEAN's voice is emotional and soft but powerful, coupling with smooth instrumentals to create an incredible experience for the listener.

Stray Kids' pre-debut EP, Mixtape, is a joy to take in. The group's charisma seeps through every song and their unique (for K-pop, of course) style has led to a wave of electro-pop releases within the industry that the public refuses to give them credit for. From Woojin's smooth but strong voice to Changbin's aggressive and sharp rapping, Stray Kids have it all. An EP to remember, for sure.
This EP was really important to me during a hard time in my life, and carries a lot of my emotional ... read more

Lipstick is everything Orange Caramel is meant to be and everything all you quirky bitches wish you were. This album is kitschy, fun, energetic, while still having its soft moments (these girls are still some of K-pop's best vocalists, you know!). "Lipstick," "Aing♡," and "Shanghai Romance" are cutesy, catchy, over-the-top quasi-parodies of the bubblegum pop characterizing 2012 girl groups. Save for "Milkshake," because what the fuck, every song on this ... read more

LOOΠΔ / ODD EYE CIRCLE is one of the most out-there subunits in K-pop, topped only by such legends as Orange Caramel. Max & Match gives the trio ample room to stretch their wings, filling the soundspace with ethereal vocals and dream-like instrumentals. This album is completely uncharacteristic for the time it was released, bringing the weird, funky, dreamy aspects of many of their American contemporaries to the Korean music scene, dominated (at the time) by trop-house and ... read more

#dawn, former 24K member Jeonguk's first solo EP, is a quality k-rnb debut especially considering the lack of finances that his company is working with. I'm a bit biased, considering he's one of the only k-hip hop/k-rnb people that I still keep up with regularly and he holds a special place in my heart, but this record is legitimately good. It's rough around the edges, and has definitely got room for improvement, but it's good.

Props to you for reviewing all these Kpop groups and still never giving out a perfect rating. Intellectuals like you are too rare...
