Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
NR

Mr Morale is a look into the eyes of Kendrick Lamar. Much like Denzel’s MMESYF, MMATBS reads like a therapy session. You get more insight into his past, present and future than ever before. Songs like Mother I Sobee, Father Time, and Auntie Diaries are all deep and introspective, where as songs like Count Me Out and N95 are more fun. Overall, his third best

JAY-Z & Kanye West - Watch the Throne
NR

Watch The Throne fails at being Ye and Jay’s “victory lap,” but that does not mean it is a bad album. The production is smooth, and it has some good highs, such as the 3rd song and Otis. Prom king.

We see a younger, harsher kendrick out around town with his friends, sleeping with rich girls and rapping in cars, but suddenly tragedy strikes. Kenny and crew get into a cop chase that leads into a shootout and one of his friends gets shot. This leads to, in my opinion, the greatest song of all time in SAMIDOT. This 12 minute masterpiece conveys such emotion in such a stripped down beat that it has almost brought ... read more
