A trance-inducing exploration on display by Rocky. The only thing that holds back the entire experience is the wordplay, as it feels quite generic in comparison to what the instrumentals give. Despite its 2011 release, it still feels like it could've released anytime during the 2010s.

High energy, fun, and a very revealing sound to be the first single for A$AP Rocky's forthcoming "DON'T BE DUMB". Unlike the sound I've become accustomed to for Rocky, this features a fun backing track, an overarching story, and a certain punkness that isn't heard for a forthcoming rapper's album. Very exciting stuff, making me very excited to hear what the rest of "DON'T BE DUMB" will have.

A cinematic concept album that leads the audience on a whirlwind of emotions and unexpected concepts. Kendrick Lamar's "good kid, m.A.A.d city is a near-perfect album that has incredible production, wordplay, and a high level direction that only a true artist can create.

A fun little album.

A simple pop album that features nice harmonies and vocals, being aware that it's wearing its influences a bit too proudly on its sleeve.

Although featuring some interesting tracks, it feels like your bog-standard pop and indie rock album you may find elsewhere. I do find some of the ideas and certain elements do work, but the overall experience just doesn't come together.

Although the songs are produced quite well, I constantly search for the voice of Grace Jones. It feels like I'm just waiting for that "moment" in the album, only to find it just ends with no fanfare or excitement.

Frost Children try to find their sound. It's clear they are trying to find what works and what doesn't, but it leads to a very confusing album.

An amazing fusion of jazz and rock. It's produced wonderfully, the tracks all have the time I believe they deserve to explore the ideas, and it just feels great to listen to. Easily the best thing about the album is the instrumentals. Great layering and composing create a list of songs I want to just listen to and see if I can catch any new instruments I may have missed.

It's an okay loose EP that only really has one track that I enjoyed ("EGYPT"). However, it's still undeniable how well-crafted Westside Gunn's production and instrumentals are.

Jane Remover has quickly become one of my favorite artists to follow. Over the past year, they have produced what has been my album of the year. A sweet, single-noted, heart-pouring album. The Delfonics release of "La La Means I Love You" is a great listen, though by the end of its 31-minute 11-track run, it does get a little boring and repetitive to hear and listen to the same themes most of the tracks share. Instrumentally speaking, it's smooth and quite well composed. Yet, I would've loved to hear a bit more variety, as it quickly becomes very uninteresting when listened to cover to cover.
