Is this the green album Weezer fans were talking about?
Good lord, 2024 has been one phenomenal year for music. Taking both the albums released since the start of this year and the older ones I listened to this year into account, it has given me a damn good time and made me appreciate music way more than I ever have. It truly does feel like I've been FEELING more while listening to music. As time has passed, listening to music has been more of an "experience" rather than a form of ... read more
It's like The Mars Volta and early The Killers had a child, such a shame these guys never got the attention they deserved.
If this was produced by Machine Girl, every single one of you would be giving it perfect scores.

Jamie Stewart, please, release a proper mixing of Cute Pee Pee, I love this song so much I'm begging you.
Yeah, this one's about Death I can tell.
I listened to The Beggar in two sittings, leaving the humongous 44-minute-long "The Beggar Lover" and the finale "The Memorious" to listen to two days after the first listening session. There are several changes in the atmosphere throughout the whole album, and it never sticks to one sound, though the overall theming is "lush and droning." None of the songs overstay their welcome albeit being 2 hours long, and nothing ... read more

William Bennett, listen and learn. THIS is how you do Power Electronics, layered tracks with multiple differentiating passages, screams and vocal samples obscured in the chaos, rattling marchings of sinister machines, and a solid atmosphere.
Take the intense and brutal moments from Controlled Bleeding's release from the same year "Body Samples" and multiply it by twenty. I'm not even into Power Electronics that much and this fascinated me. ... read more
I was expecting a step up from Habit, not a step backward, but here we are.
First, let's talk about the problems I have with this album. The songs here are shorter in length than the ones on Habit, which would have been a fine adjustment but fails in execution. As soon as the pieces start developing, they end. Sometimes too abruptly I'd say, as heard in "Let's Find an Out" or "Anytime". The latter of which does go on for a full 4 minutes but only starts developing near the ... read more
Wasn't expecting much, got greeted with a lot. It's actually pretty damn good, great vocals, smart lyricism, and solid instrumentals.
Edit: 100 -> 98, sorry guys, but I still feel like they've got more potential and this album isn't "perfect" by any means.
Dean Blunt: The Band
But seriously, this thing is gorgeous. It's got every quality I was asking for after listening to their previous releases. It's also got every quality that makes a Dean Blunt album great, and you know I love his stuff to death and never get tired of his music. Tracey Denim is like waking up from a nice dream you had and saying "God I ... read more
1,500 ratings! That's a milestone, right? I guess 180 followers are also, but I have almost zero interaction with people on this website. So, sorry for that, and thanks for 180. That's a lot, and I can't appreciate it enough.
Velocity : Design : Comfort is an album I've tried to get around and listen to for the past three years. So after a night of heartbreak, I thought it was finally time to check it out; and I've gotta say, I'm happy that I did.
First of all, let's address the confusion you ... read more
Most accessible album my ass, this thing hurts. The painful stories and issues it goes through made me feel sick to my stomach, It really touches that no-no spot in my feelings. Sure, the composition and song structures are more accessible than Knife Play and definitely more accessible than A Promise, but the context of the tracks and the lyrics are NOT for the faint of heart. There are tracks such as "Support Our Troops OH!" and "Mike" that just made my jaw drop in shock. ... read more
ugh fine I give in, it's FINE.
I have no idea how they managed to fit in Lil Uzi's verse in there but it somehow works, I also don't get why you're all acting up about the mixing, sounds fine to me. Lil Uzi's inclusion does not feel like an afterthought, and Daryl Palumbo? Uhhhhhhh, where was he in this again? I do remember him being featured on a Cage song and it worked out REALLY well. Here though? I'm not too sure. Still, cool collaboration.
