I get it. This album is not as good as their self-titled. The main problem for me was the sheer length of some of these tracks. Specifically "breaking into heaven" which has no buisness being 11 minutes long. Hell, I listened to the CD copy of this album, which has 99 tracks! 87 of these tracks are nothing but silence if I remember correctly. With all that said, though, it was still an enjoyable album, and I don't think it deserves anything below a 70.
I was lucky enough to stumble across this CD in a record store. I was aware of this album, but never listened to the whole thing. I decided to buy it. That might have been the best $10 I ever spent.
An annoying fanbase is not a valid excuse to disregard an album, or any other artform. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but i'm sure some of you do.
Maybe not one of his best albums, but definitely one of his most enjoyable.
Sidenote: Barry bonds Isn't that bad of a song. Just had to put that out there.
Is it as good as Superunknown? No. But, is it one of the better albums to come out of the grunge era? Absolutely.
The "masterpiece" tag this thing has is well deserved. One of the few albums I consider to be perfect.
People have gotta talk about this one more, man.
Edit: I can't believe I only gave this one an 85. This shit is near perfect.
Edit #2: This shit is perfect.
One of the best albums of the grunge era. Up there with Nevermind in my opinion. Easily.
Everything that needs to be said about this album has already been said a million times. Really impressive album.
I wish this album would get more love. Well written and well performed tracks. Surprisingly good
